Diabetes Education Standards Recognition Program 1
The Standards Recognition Program logo identifies diabetes education programs (DEPs) that have provided evidence that they are meeting a minimum of 80 per cent compliance with the current Standards for Diabetes Education in Canada. The Standards for Diabetes Education in Canada serves as the foundation for the assessment of quality DEPs in Canada, and participation in the Standards Recognition Program provides a template for benchmarking and continuous quality improvement leading to promotion and enhancement of services provided for people living with diabetes. DEPs that are granted recognition status from the Diabetes Educator Section of the Canadian Diabetes Association will be able to display the Standards Recognition Program logo on their letterhead and other promotional or program materials identifying them as a program of excellence in the delivery of diabetes self-management education and support. THE LOGO Preferred logo: blue, white and red Secondary logo: black and white LOGO SIZE The Standard Recognition Program logo consists of a wordmark and a symbol, which must always appear together. The logo should always be placed on a solid white/coloured background; no patterns allowed. The minimum size for the Standards Recognition Program logo should be 1.5 inches. 1.5 inches wide 2

Do not tilt the logo! Do not alter the fonts! Do not change the colour of the logo! Do not delete elements of the logo! 3
SPACING REQUIREMENTS It is critical to maintain an open area surrounding the Standards Recognition Program logo, so it remains recognizable and does not become lost within other page elements. If used along with an accompanying logo, please maintain a minimum distance of the width of the maple leaf within the logo. LOGO COLOURS The logo colours may only appear as blue, red and white OR black and white. LOGO PLACEMENT When using the logo on stationery, websites or within email signatures, please align the logo to the top left. If the logo is to be used alongside a company logo, then the company logo should be on the outer edge of the page, followed by the Standards Recognition Program logo.
