Medication History Use Increased 48% in 2012: Nearly half of patient visits, 47%, generated an electronically delivered medication history in 2012. That s up from 31% of patient visits in 2011. Prescription Benefit Information Responses Increased 33% in 2012 44% of prescriptions dispensed were routed electronically 4, up from 36% at the end of 2011. 80 Adoption Increases to Record Levels Small Practices were the leaders in E-Prescribing Adoption for the second year in a 60 row. 65% of practices with 6 to 10 physicians were e-prescribing, followed by 64% of physicians in practices with 2 to 5 physicians. Large practices with 26 or 40 more than physicians e-prescribed just 37% and 34% respectively. Internists were the leaders 20 by Specialty Practice with 93% e-prescribing in 2012. 93% of Community Pharmacies actively accept e-prescriptions: 85% of Independent Pharmacies 0 and 98% of Chain Pharmacies.
