Viperflex Injectable Waterproofing Systems Waterproofing Restoration
Protecting the built world Providing proven and effective high performance waterproofing and coating solutions.
Experience Viperflex was used to repair leaking elevator pits in the newly constructed Building 7 of the World Trade Center.
Acrylate Chemical Grout Viperflex Restorative gel waterproofing: Viperflex is a modified acrylate injectable resin that polymerizes into a thick, sticky gel. Viperflex is combined with an accelerant (ViperTea) and a catalyst (ViperCat) to initiate polymerization. Water is not necessary to activate polymerization.
Unique Characteristics of Viperflex Viscosity like water allows resin to penetrate deep into concrete cracks and voids and permeate soils/clays to create an impervious gel membrane. Field controlled adjustable polymerization time from a few seconds to 2 hours. Non-toxic, safe for the environment and the applicator. Non-expansive. Will not pose a danger to buried utilities or adjacent structures. Contains a short-lived color dye enabling the operator to visually control application, after polymerization, dye disappears leaving no stains.
Durability combined with effective water control Polymerizes in contaminated water, brackish, salt and sewage water to form a sticky gel. Viperflex is inert and inorganic. It will not react with insitu materials and it will not grow fungi, mold or bacteria. Includes a corrosion inhibitor that halts oxidation of reinforcing steel in concrete. Elongation: 250% 350%* Tensile Strength: 100 psi 350 psi* *Varies on solids content
Dynamically Responsive to Substrate Movement Active responsiveness to substrate movement and vibration -Viperflex retains its remarkable elasticity, adhesion and flexibility and can easily withstand distortion, movement and temperature fluctuation. -Viperflex remains waterproof during repeated wet/dry cycling. = Permanent Waterproofing
Chemical resistance chart TEST METHOD: A polymerized Viperflex sample was kept at room temperature for a period of 42 days. The degree of discoloring, consistency, and dissolution was observed. The test sample was characterized as either "stable" or "unstable". Restorative Waterproofing Concept Restorative waterproofing material should have Responsiveness to substrate movement, especially at crack or joint areas Loss resistance to water pressure/flow Durability to establish a long lasting seal Existing damaged waterproofing layer Restorative waterproofing layer Injection counter flow Stop water leakage by injecting directly to the existing waterproofing layer
Drill 1 diameter hole to a 4 depth.
Drill 5/8 hole through wall
Drill 5/8 counterflow hole 6 12 on center (spacing may vary)
Use IP-100 injection pistol to inject center hole
Viperflex migrates behind the substrate to restore waterproofing
Viperflex counterflows adjacent holes.
Patch and plug holes with nonshrink rapid set grout.
Confirm patch and repeat process
