October and November Mega Kitchen Party Bingo Promotion OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS Please read these Official Rules in their entirety before participating in the Mega Kitchen Party Bingo Promotion. You are not eligible to enter the Contest unless you agree to these Official Rules. Participation in the Contest constitutes full and unconditional agreement and acceptance of these Official Rules, which are final on all matters relating to the Contest. 1. TO REGISTER: To be eligible for this contest, you must be an active member on alc.ca. A person may become a member by going to alc.ca and completing the on-line registration form, and clicking on Register as a Member. As part of the registration process, each player will be required to provide a username and password, which they will then use for logging into their alc.ca member account. Guest account member will not be eligible for this contest, they would need to update to a member account (wagering account). By participating in the Contest, Participants agree to be bound by the Official Rules and to the terms and conditions and privacy statements of the Contest Site. Limit of one registration per Participant. In the event that the Participant has used more than one registered account during this Contest period, all of that Participant's entries will be void and all of said Participant's accounts will be disqualified. NOTE: Participants, who have an active account, do not need to create another alc.ca account. A Participant must provide valid information, including e-mail address, date of birth, residency, and phone number in order to qualify for registration for the Contest. The Participant's information, including age and residence, will be verified if the Participant is declared a winner of the prizes described below. If the Participant is deemed to have entered falsified or incorrect information, and/or if the Participant does not meet eligibility requirements, that Participant, and all of his/her entries, will be disqualified and voided and the Participant will not be eligible to win. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the Participant submitting the electronic entry, the entry will be deemed to be submitted by the Participant in whose name the e-mail account is registered. 2. TO ENTER: i. Purchase entry A player who completed a Kitchen Party Bingo game at www.alc.ca anytime in October and November will be automatically entered for the draw for a chance to win 1 of 2 $5,000.00 Visa Gift Cards for home renovations. Players will be required to create a username and password and complete the member registration process on alc.ca if not a current member. You will be required to create a username and password and enter your first name, last name, birth date, mailing address, e-mail address, and telephone number where you can be reached should your entry be selected (or you can use an account/login information that you have previously registered for prior on alc.ca. With the purchase of a Kitchen Party Bingo ticket from 6 pm to 2:59:59 am in October 2012 and November 2012, you will
automatically be entered in the contest. You do NOT accumulate more entries for the more games that you play. One entry per member per month for a maximum of two (2) entries for the entire contest. ii. No purchase Entry No purchase is necessary to enter the Contest. Players can obtain an online entry which will be added to the member s account by an AL contest official. Players can obtain this by sending a hand drawn facsimile of the Kitchen Party Bingo logo and the contest username of the entrant. All requests for an online entry must be received by Atlantic Lottery by December 3, 2012 Limit of one request per envelope while supplies last. No mechanical reproductions of requests permitted. E1C 0C8 The contest commences on October 1, 2012 at 6:00:00 p.m (AT) and closes on November 30, 2012 at 2:59:59 a.m. (AT) (the "Contest Period"). Note that all times refer to Atlantic Time. 3. DRAWS AND PRIZES: Draw date: December 4, 2012 (or as soon as possible thereafter) Prize: A player has a chance to win 1 of 2 $5,000.00 Visa Gift Cards. A player can only win one (1) $5,000 Visa Gift Card. This will be mailed to the contestant winners via The Canada Post. The winners of the gift cards does NOT have the cash option. 4. The contest sponsor is: Atlantic Lottery Corporation ("ALC"). 5. To enter and to be eligible to win, entrant must at any time during the contest period (identified above) be a legal resident of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island or Newfoundland & Labrador, Canada and be 19 years of age or older at the time of participation. ALC employees, ALC ticket retailers, ALC advertising and promotional agencies and their employees and persons domiciled with an ALC employee or an ALC ticket retailer or an ALC advertising or promotional agency or their employees, are ineligible to enter. 6. Prizes must be accepted as awarded. A prize may not be sold or transferred. ALC reserves the right to substitute any prize based on availability for a prize of equal or greater value.
7. On the draw date stated above (or as soon as possible thereafter), random draws for prizes will take place at the offices of the Atlantic Lottery Corporation, from all eligible entries registered during the Contest Period. The odds of winning a Prize will depend upon the total number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period. ALC will attempt to contact the potential winner by telephone within one (1) business day after the draw. If ALC is not able to contact the potential winner after ten (10) business days, ALC shall have the right to disqualify the potential winner and draw an alternate winner for the same prize. ALC shall be fully and completely released and discharged from any liability or responsibility in this regard. Proof of identification must be provided upon request and match the registration information provided when the Participant registered on the site. 8. Winners of all prizes will be required to sign a release form and will also be required to provide a valid government issued photo ID (front and back) for prize verification. ALC shall be fully and completely released and discharged from any liability or responsibility in this regard. 9. Before being awarded a Prize, potential winners must correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question without electronic, mechanical or any other kind of assistance. The skill testing question will be administered at such time and in such manner as ALC or its representatives determine in their sole discretion. The Participant with the Selected Entry must then complete and sign a Declaration and Release Form confirming compliance with the Official Rules, acceptance of the prize as awarded, without substitution, and releasing ALC, their affiliated and related companies, advertising, internet and promotional agencies, independent contest organization, prize suppliers and their respective shareholders, directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively, the "Releases") from any liability in connection with the award or use of any prize or this Contest. The Participant with the Selected Entry must also sign a Publicity Release form that grants ALC, and their affiliates the right, but not the obligation, to use, edit or adapt their photograph, filmed or recorded image, name and city of residence in any publicity campaigns, whether said campaigns are related to the Contest or not, without further notice or compensation. Such Declaration and Release Forms must be signed and returned within ten (10) days of notification, failing which the prize will not be awarded and ALC will draw an alternate winner. 10. In the event that the potential winner does not comply with all the provisions as contemplated in these official rules and regulations, ALC shall have the right to disqualify the potential winner and draw an alternate potential winner and ALC shall be fully and completely released and discharged from any liability or responsibility in this regard. The provisions and procedures referred to above relating to selection and notification of a potential winner shall be applied, with the necessary amendments, until a qualified winner has been duly selected. In the event a Participant does not meet the eligibility requirements, ALC has no obligation to award any prize to that Participant. 11. By entering this Contest, the Participant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules, which are subject to change without notice, and all decisions of ALC, which are final and binding. By
entering, Participant grants ALC and their affiliates the right, but not the obligation, to use, edit or adapt their photograph, filmed or recorded image, name and city of residence in any publicity campaigns, related to the Contest, without further notice or compensation. Participants agree to provide a valid e-mail address in order to enter the Contest. 12. Requests for official contest rules and regulations or names of prize winner(s) can be mailed to: Atlantic Lottery Corporation, PO Box 5500, 922 Main St., Moncton, NB, E1C 8W6 (for which a self-addressed, postage paid envelope must be included). 13. All entries become the property of ALC. ALC, their affiliated and related companies, advertising, internet and promotional agencies, independent contest organization, prize suppliers and their respective shareholders, directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns assume no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected entries or for any failure of the Contest Site during the Promotion Period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received whether or not due to the fault of the foregoing or of any other person, or whether due to computer mishaps, technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to a Participant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any material in this Contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage the Contest Site or any other website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, ALC reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution. ALC, their affiliated and related companies, advertising, internet and promotional agencies, independent contest organization, prize suppliers and their respective shareholders, directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns are not responsible for injury or damage to online participants' or any other persons' computer related to or resulting from participation in this Contest, or downloading materials from or use of the Contest Site. If, for any reason whatsoever, any part of this Contest is not capable of running as planned, including, without limitation, by reason of infection by computer virus, worms, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or other causes which in the sole opinion of ALC, could corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Contest, ALC reserves the right, at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest and to select a Winner from eligible entries received prior to the action taken or in some other manner that ALC deem fair and equitable. ALC reserves the right in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual they find to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest, or to be using automated methods to attempt to receive additional entries into the Contest, or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person or to be acting in an otherwise disruptive manner. ALC, their affiliated and related companies, advertising, internet and promotional agencies, independent contest organization, prize suppliers and their respective shareholders,
directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns are not responsible for typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of this contest, including but not limited to, errors in advertising, the Official Rules, the selection and announcement of winner, or the distribution of the prize. 14. This contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. By entering this contest, each entrant consents to the collection, use and distribution of his/her personal information (information that identifies an entrant as an individual, such as home telephone number, age and home address) by ALC for the purposes of implementing, administering and fulfilling this contest. ALC will not sell or transmit this information to third parties except for the purposes of administering this contest. ALC is committed to ensuring the privacy of its players and taking all of the necessary precautions to ensure player information is safeguarded. In all cases, information is retained in secure facilities and protected from unauthorized access. ALC will only use or disclose player information for the specific purposes for which it was collected, unless required by law, and will only retain the information long enough to fulfill these purposes, after which time it will be securely destroyed.
