WELCOME Today s uncertain world markets pose exceptional challenges for companies and senior executives. Yet there are great opportunities for those who are well-prepared, particularly in dynamic regions. The Senior Executive Program for Latin America is aimed at experienced managers and business leaders who have close contact with Latin America. Participants acquire specific business knowledge about the global economy, along with critical leadership skills in times of change and uncertainty, thus enabling them to have a greater impact on their companies initiatives. Three outstanding business schools IESE, IPADE and IAE lead the program. Collectively, they provide participants with superlative insights on global business and, simultaneously, doing business in Latin America, based on both first-hand experience and the latest research. Modules are held in Miami and New York City, two of the world s most important international business hubs. If you are seeking to bolster your company s activities in Latin America, as well as develop your own leadership vision, we invite you to take part in this truly one-of-a-kind program. THE SENIOR EXECUTIVE PROGRAM FOR LATIN AMERICA There has never been a better time for senior executives to embark on a new adventure: understanding how they can improve what they already do well. The Senior Executive Program for Latin America is specifically designed for top-tier managers with strong interests in Latin America. Its global perspective will broaden your professional and personal horizons, and better prepare you to face future challenges. Begoña de Ros Raventós Director of Senior Executive Program for Latin America The Senior Executive Program for Latin America offers you the chance to refresh and update your knowledge in a rigorous learning environment designed for people just like you. Senior managers are faced with new challenges every day. New legislative, technical and financial parameters constrain their ability to do business. At the same time, markets are rapidly becoming more international. These changes create both pressure and opportunities. The SEP for Latin America gives experienced managers the opportunity to reflect on the changing business environment, challenge their management strategies and practices, and examine their leadership roles, all in a global context. The program is specifically designed for senior managers with strong interests in Latin America who aim to sharpen their awareness of current business trends and update their knowledge by interacting with top-level management peers from a wide variety of industries in a unique English- Spanish bilingual setting. The program seeks participants with the knowledge and experience to contribute to class discussion and group work. Classes are created to ensure diversity of companies, sectors and cultural backgrounds. 6 SENIOR EXECUTIVE PROGRAM FOR LATIN AMERICA

IESE, IPADE & IAE: A UNIQUE ALLIANCE Through the IESE, IPADE and IAE partnership, participants in the Senior Management Program for Latin America gain comprehensive knowledge of the region while enjoying all the benefits of a general management program that takes them to higher levels of managerial excellence. Pioneers in Business Education Established in 1957, IESE began to provide executive education programs at a time when executive education was scarcely known outside the United States. Today, the school enjoys numerous alliances with top U.S. schools such as Harvard, Stanford, MIT Sloan, Wharton, NYU-Stern and Columbia. IESE further strengthened its presence in the United States when it opened permanent offices in New York City in 2007. IPADE was established in Mexico in 1967 with a clear mission: to develop the senior management of Mexico s top organizations. From the beginning, IPADE has promoted a holistic approach to general management that transcends technical and financial parameters to encompass the personal attributes necessary for effective leadership. IPADE s quality and consistency have placed the institution among the most outstanding business schools in the world. 8 SENIOR EXECUTIVE PROGRAM FOR LATIN AMERICA

Since its founding in 1978, IAE has become one of only four business schools in Latin America to obtain three international quality recognitions for higher education. Based in Buenos Aires, IAE maintains partnerships with the world s most prestigious business schools to further enhance the global reach of its programs. IESE, IPADE and IAE are initiatives of Opus Dei, a Personal Prelature of the Roman Catholic Church with activities all over the world. The schools draw their values from the Christian tradition and emphasize the the intrinsic rights and dignity of all people. A Culture of Inquiry During the program, participants will be encouraged to ask not only what, but how and why or why not. Using the case method, they analyze real business problems while sharpening their decisionmaking skills. The program employs an array of compelling business cases based on international management scenarios. A Focus on People The Senior Executive Program for Latin America takes a humanistic approach to management education by placing people at the heart of companies and their challenges. Special emphasis is given to the human and ethical dimensions of the decision-making process, which are indispensable for personal growth and corporate sustainability. Strong Research Base The research carried out by the international faculty members of IESE, IPADE and IAE provides the foundation for all of the schools programs. Each school is home to numerous research centers dedicated to the study of areas ranging from globalization and strategy to entrepreneurship and familyowned businesses. Business Relevance The CEOs and presidents of some of the world s most important multinational corporations sit on the three schools advisory boards. In addition, each school has provided tailored management solutions to many businesses in Latin America, especially family businesses, and the world s leading multinationals, including Abbott, Alstom, BBVA, Cisco, Ericsson, General Electric Capital, Nestlé, Oracle, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Repsol, Santander and Telefónica. IESE, IPADE and IAE are thus uniquely qualified to understand the dynamic needs of international senior executives. Alumni Benefits Times Three Upon completion of the program, participants become alumni of IESE, IPADE and IAE. This means they enjoy the combined benefits and extensive networks of not one, but three, alumni associations. The schools alumni associations together boast more than 43,000 members who live and work in more than 100 countries. The schools enjoy some of the highest alumni membership rates in the world, testimony to the extent of alumni satisfaction with their programs. This strong connection promotes frequent contact among alumni, thus presenting lifelong opportunities for personal growth, professional development and support. I chose IESE, IPADE and IAE especially because they had an element of guiding us and making us reflect on the ethical aspects of being a business leader. I thought that was of tremendous value, and I didn t see that in any other business school. And it was not only an expectation, but they really delivered on that.
