The amount of fill material increases proportionately with the size of the backing. The lead of the coil (distance between wraps), affects the working surface of the brush and its performance. Consistent or continuous brush to work surface contact requires a close wound coil (no lead), while an open lead is recommended when working with aggregate, grain or debris.
