ON INDIAN TELEVISION Now that some of the reality shows are going to end come December, Indian television channels have already strategised to fill up the void with a new set of programs, There are promos of different new shows that have already aired and no doubt, the viewers are waiting with bated breath for some of these serials to start. Here's a look at some of the newest shows on Indian television, YEH HAI MOHOBBATEIN Ye Hai Mohabbatein is the story of Ishita and Raman and how their lives intersect when Ishita's family moves in next door. What will happen when their distinct personalities collide? Ishita Iyer is a simple girl. She is a dentist by profession and is immensely good at what she does, yet has her feet firmly on the ground. She immerses herself in her work as a measure of rebuilding her life. She is a dutiful and loving daughter and her parents dote on her. Ishita is very fond of children, going out of her way to help any chitd in distress even if it means waking up at 4.00 am and opening up her clinic to a boy with a toothache. On the other hand Raman Bhalfa is an extremely successful man. He is rich, suave and self made, becoming the CEO of his company in a very short period of time. He is father to the very adorable Ruhi. Being a workaholic, his life revolves around office meetings, parties and work. He has worked hard to reach such heights of success, but ends up neglecting Ruhi because he is always busy. Sanaya Irani is back! After her stint on Star Plus with iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon and on Sony with Chhanchhan, she is now set to venture into Colors with what seems to be an intriguing story of a serial titled. Rang Rasiya. The promos show her dressed in red like a bride while the voice over asks if the viewer is wondering whether this is a story of love or hate? The actor shoots a person and comes for Sanaya who trips on the dessert of Rajasthan in disbelief. In the next shot, women gather to remove her jewellery while the hero points his gun at her. Evidently, it may just be a serious kind of a love story and the curiosity is about how Sanaya witl carry this role after the debacle of Chhanchhan. Ashish Sharma will play the male lead. TUMHARI PAAKHI Okay, the show has already kicked off on LifeOk and is fast engrossing the viewers with its intriguing storyline. Iqbal Khan of Kaisa Yeh Pyaar Hai on Sony TV (many years ago) returns to television with this serial. The actor was known for his impressive act as a superstar in the Sony TV serial back in those days and he is expected to woo his audience with his killer charm in Tumhari Paakhi. DOLIARMANOKI This Zee TV serial is set to launch on December 2. The show has roped in Neha Marda (Vrinda of Devon Ke Dev... Mahadev) and Mohit Malik. Also, Beera of Na Bole Turn Na Maine Kuch Kaha aka Siddarth Arara will also be playing a lead in it. It is likely to be a romantic love story. The promo shows the regular chatter between a brideto be and her family and friends who tease her about how partner. They all highlight the various qualities that the guy has which make him 'one of its kind!' EK NAYI PEHCHAN
Sony TV is playing safe after the short lived Chhanchhan, The new serial which is expected to start soon stars none other than the divine Krystal D'Souza. She was last seen on Star Plus' Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai wherein she played Jeevika. This Sony TV serial, Ek Nayi Pehchan, is thankfully not one where the daughter in law and the mother in law have issues with each other. It is instead about the two sharing and celebrating their bond! Oh, Poonam Dhillon will be seen playing Krystal's saas in this serial. More details to come closer to time.
