B2B Event Emerging Market: the Adaptation to Climate Change Organized by Kyoto Club, Comune di Bologna and the UK Embassy in Italy within the activities of the LIFE+ BLUE AP project (partners: Ambiente Italia, Arpa E.R., Comune di Bologna, Kyoto Club www.blueap.eu) With the support of MATTM Ministry of the Environment and Protection of Land and Sea of Italy, Cities Network Il Clima cambia la Città and Coordinamento Nazionale Agenda 21 Italy As BLUE AP partnership we decide to organize for the Bologna private companies a B2B Event with the collaboration of the British Embassy in Italy, to introduce them in the new emerging market of Adaptation to Climate Change. The UK private sector has already experienced the needs for investments and opportunities on this field, due to the Adaptation policies introduced by the UK and Cities Government. The aim of the event is to promote business partnerships between UnIndustria Bologna private companies and UK big companies and SMEs active in sectors identified as key contributors to achieving the adaptation objectives of Bologna Municipality. The event is organized on Friday 8th November 2013 at the Key Energy Exhibition in Rimini, in the framework of an initiative of the EU LIFE+ project BLUE AP Bologna Local Urban Environment Adaptation Plan for a Resilient City. BLUE AP is a LIFE+ project for the implementation of an Adaptation Plan to Climate Change for the Municipality of Bologna, providing for some concrete local measures to test, in order to make the city more resilient and able to meet the climate change challenges. The BLUE AP planning and testing actions developed in the city of Bologna will lead to the creation of guidelines useful for the definition of similar adaptation plans, that can be adopted by other medium-size Italian cities. Bologna will be the pilot-city that, first in Italy, will face climate changes with the appropriate and creative tools.
The BLUE AP B2B event Emerging Market: the Adaptation to Climate Change is a series of prearranged transnational face-to-face meetings organised at Key Energy Fairy for companies and research institutions from Bologna and UK. We decide to organize it at Key Energy because can bring added value for the companies in the form of free entrance to the event, inclusion in the event s catalogue and the opportunity for extra meetings to be organised with other companies attending the event.
