Dashboards allow you to review customised reports from a single page in the Experian Hitwise interface, making it easier to share and act upon competitive insights whilst identifying emerging trends online. How to add modules to a Dashboard Generate a report you want to add to a Dashboard and click on the + to Dashboard button at the top right of the report A drop down menu will appear, select the option Add module to New Dashboard Name your dashboard (i.e Search Trends Smartphones) and press Create and Add Access your new Dashboard by clicking on the Dashboards tab at the top of the page NOTE: When you want to add more reports to a dashboard already built just select the name of your Dashboard from the drop down, rather than add to new
2. How to amend modules in a dashboard You can edit a module added to a Dashboard by clicking on the Actions button (Metric, End Date and Filter functions etc) Once you have amended these press Save Changes
3. How to edit titles and annotate Dashboard modules Click on the headline or tagline box to open it Type in the amended title or annotation text Click on the tick to save the changes you have made Click in the headline and tagline boxes to amend and annotate. Once finished select the tick box to save your changes. 4. How to move modules around in a Dashboard To move modules around so that they flow in the right order, hover over the one you want to move Left click and hold down your mouse on the blue bar at the top of the module Drag your module to the position you want and it will become transparent Let go of the click, and the module will drop into place
5. How to share your Dashboard with others Open the Dashboard you want to share Click on the grey Actions button, located at the top right hand side of the page and select Share From the box that appears use the Recipients drop down to find their email address and press Add and Submit. The dashboard will now be viewable in their access as a Read only version If they do not have an Experian Hitwise user licence just type in their email address and press Add and Submit. They will receive a URL link to a read only version of the dashboard which they can bookmark
6. How to publish a module from your Dashboard Click on the Actions button for the module you want and select Publish from the drop down From the box that appears you can select if you want to create password protection Finally, click the Publish button at the bottom and a public URL will be generated that you can integrate with other data sources, for example your analytics tool or your website
