Companies with Responsibility The notion of corporate social responsibility has become the subject of growing discussion in recent years. Numerous initiatives have been founded and implemented in both the political and business sectors. An important sign of this pioneering development is the first corporate responsibility ranking in Europe, which was carried out in Germany at the start of the year and published in the January issue of manager magazine. This review, which was proposed and implemented by Kirchhoff Consult AG, also involved the Center for Corporate Citizenship in Germany (www.corporatecitizen.de) under the direction of Prof. Dr. André Habisch. With the technical support of Prof. Dr. André Habisch, the Center for Corporate Citizenship Austria (www.corporatecitizen.at) was founded to develop and pursue new solution models for corporate social responsibility, in keeping with the example set by its partner organization.
