NECKERCHIEF & SLIDE 1. Making small, tight flat folds, continue to roll the neckerchief until approximately 6 of the point remains visible. 2. A tight fold will help prevent bunching. Ironing the neckerchief as you fold it will help it hold its rolled shape. 3. Place the neckerchief around the neck, and under the collar. 4. Secure with the appropriate neckerchief slide for your rank. Scout-made slides may also be worn. TIP: Avoid lost neckerchief slides by doing the following: After placing the neckerchief slide in place, take one end of the rolled neckerchief and feed it behind and through the back of the slide again. Pull the end down in place. This locks it in place.
