The VOS platform-supply vessel (PSV) portfolio is based on vessel designs developed by the company s Performance and Engineering Department, reflecting both client specifications, market requirements and substantial in-house offshore experience. Newest additions to the fleet are the eight 80-metre sister PSVs: VOS Pride, VOS Prime, VOS Primrose, VOS Prince, VOS Princess, VOS Principle, VOS Priority and VOS Pristine. Available from mid-2015, a vessel that combines walk-to-work services and supply duties for the offshore oil & gas and renewable energy markets. With the new subsea-support walk-to-work vessel, VOS aims to meet the expected increase in demand for offshore people-transfer solutions. Over recent years, VOS has delivered a number of walk-to-work solutions, gaining substantial experience which has proved invaluable in the development of this revolutionary, new vessel. This walk-to-work vessel offers accommodation and work space for up to 60 client staff (special personnel). The unique vessel concept is based on the principle of 750 m2 clear deck space. This deck space can be fitted with a walk-to-work system, at the same time leaving ample space available for a variety of extra services. In addition, the vessel can optionally be equipped with a motion-controlled crane and work boats supported by heave-compensated davits. Two 80-metre subsea-support walk-to-work vessels, VOS Start and VOS Stone, are available for walk-to-work operations in the North Sea from mid-2016 onwards. This new vessel generation is based on a Khiam Chuan Marine (KCM) PSV design. The vessel is classed DP2, complies to the latest SPS code regulations and is designed to carry a total of 87 persons.
