I graduated from Heriot-Watt University in 2009 with a Microbiology Honours degree. I joined the QLAB team in March 2012 as a Project Coordinator working on many global and regional clinical trials for high profile clients before being promoted to Associate Project Manager in November 2013. During my 2.5 years with the company I have grown both personally and professionally as Quintiles encourages and assists all employees to progress in their career with advancement opportunities always on offer. Quintiles Laboratories offer a friendly, fast paced and engaging working environment, with every day offering new challenges - so there is never a dull moment! Elaine Lowey - Director, Project Services I joined QLAB after graduating from Strathclyde University in 2000 and initially entered into an Operational role responsible for the reporting and monitoring of projects. Sensing the buzz within Project Management, I actively pursued a career as Project Manager and secured a position within 18 months. After two years as a Project Manager, I progressed into a new career as a Manager, responsible for a team of Project Managers, supporting clients and internal department level initiatives. During my management career, Quintiles actively supported and encouraged my personal and professional development and enabled me to develop a full strategic and leadership skill-set. As a result of Quintiles development initiatives, I was able to assume the role of Associate Director where I was able to operate globally across the wider QLAB business. In October 2013, I successfully advanced my career by obtaining a Director level role, leading QLAB s European Project Services department, which is where I remain today. Great Place to Work 2013.
