8.1 Find Angle Measures in Polygons Obj.: To find angle measures in polygons. Key Vocabulary Diagonal - A diagonal of a polygon is a segment that joins two nonconsecutive vertices. Polygon ABCDE has two diagonals from vertex B, BD and BE. Interior angles - The original angles are the interior angles. Exterior angles - When the sides of a polygon are extended, other angles are formed. The angles that form linear pairs with the interior angles are the exterior angles. The sum of the measures of the interior angles of a convex n-gon is (n 2) 180⁰. m 1 + m 2... + m n = (n 2) 180⁰. n = 6 Interior Angles of a Quadrilateral The sum of the measures of the interior angles of a quadrilateral is 360⁰.
