To save time, take time to check gauge. Border Pattern (mult 6 + 1 sts) Row 1 (RS): *K1, yarn over, K1, slip next 2 sts at once knitwise, K1, p2sso, K1, yarn over. Right Front Same as left front except reverse all shaping. Finishing Sew shoulder seams. Neckband With RS facing and circular needle, pick up and knit 86 sts evenly along neck edge. Do not join; work back and forth in rows for neckband. Beg Garter St Patt, and work even until collar measure approx 1" from beg.

Buttonband With RS facing and circular needle, pick up and knit 123 (126, 126, 129) sts along left front, including side of neckband. Do not join; work back and forth in rows for neckband. Beg Garter St Patt, and work even until band measures approx 2" from beg. Place marker for three buttons, making the first one 1" from top, the third 6" down from the first, and the middle one halfway between them. Buttonhole Band Same as buttonband along right front until band measures approx 1" from beg. Next Row: Make buttonhole opposite markers by binding off 2 sts. Next Row: CO 2 sts over the bound-off sts of previous row. Cont even until band measures approx 2" from beg. BO loosely. Armbands With RS facing and circular needle, pick up and knit 66 (72, 72, 78) sts evenly along armhole edge. Do not join; work back and forth in rows for neckband. Beg Garter St Patt, and work even until collar measure approx 1" from beg. Sew side seams, including side of armbands. Sew on buttons where marked.
