Have been a potter for 4 years now. I specialize in pots used for holding oils and liquids which are transported to other markets. Activities and Interests I enjoy spending time with my family and working in the fields next to my husband. , the potter Share What's on your mind... Notes Today I am heading to the area around Qena in Upper Egypt for 'marl clay'. This is the best known material for pottery. My pots are far superior to the pottery made by Jamila. I don't agree with this. I also use mari clay and make beautiful pottery that is even in the home of the vizier. Jamila I'm sorry, Jamila. I didn't realize you were into the new pottery techniques. Today I plan to visit the market for new wax combs for my hair. The perfumes in the wax will make my hair smell so good when it melts. I will go see Monifa at the market. in Luxor. Cant wait to see you... i am making some perfume that smells like an iris What type of containers do you have for your perfumes these days? i have mostly glass... they are very pretty... ill show when you get to the market Click here to view older posts
Share What's on your mind? I think I will need to get some new jewelry to wear to the wedding of my fiends Nile and Si-en-ea. I will check out the goods at Akana's in Cairo. I just got some new necklaces. Akana Thanks. Do you have any made with lapis? i love the color blue? I do. Just finished a stunning necklace. Come by tomorrow. I am in need of some new sandals from for the wedding of my good friend. Does any one have a recommendation? I would recommend Anka. The last time i bought a pair of her shoes, they lasted me 5 years and still look great! She lives in Luxor, Egypt. Good luck at the wedding! -Isis Masika I would 100% recommend Anka. Her sandals are made out of the finest papyrus in the whole universe! The sandals are also really beautiful! If you want some high quality sandals she is Click here to view older posts
Share What's on your mind? My newest supply of pottery is ready to to be shipped to Thebes. I am on my way to see Kusan about getting a boat. i wonder what his fee is now? My boats are the best boats you can get and they are just like the pharoh boats and are made out of a combination of papyrus and wood so they are both strong and lite plus they are also embedded with jewels if wanted. I believe I will go with Kusan. I just need a simple and inexpensive boat to get my 100 pots to market. Today I was covered with earth and it was hard to breath through my nose because of the air that comes out of the oven. It was especially tiring because the first thing a potters has to do is 'puddle' the clay, spreading it out with their feet so as to break down lumps in the clay. I am very sorry about that. Hopefully tomorrow will be better! Do you happen to know anybody how sells cinnamon! I really need some! -Aziza What if you check with Hequet has some -- she is selling many herbs.
