For every dollar raised, the winner would win half of the pot and the other half will benefit the local Children's Miracle Network hospital. Baby Pageant - 1 Plan a company-wide baby contest with a variety of age and prize categories. Categories can include most photogenic, happiest, or most entertaining. Place change canisters under each of the photographs, and have employees/customers vote using spare change. Contact vendors that supply baby products for possible prizes. Buck-a-Pound- 1 Have willing employees sign up to donate $1 for every pound lost and $2 for every pound gained in weekly weigh-ins over a set period of time. Award prizes for the greatest weight loss overall or for the most weight lost as a percentage of body weight. Change a Child s Life- 1 Have the company conduct a change a child s life coin collection campaign. Distribute plastic zip lock bags that have a sticker affixed and ask employees to take the bags home and fill them up with change that is lying around house, car, etc.. Create a goal chart poster with a thermometer and ask a local credit union to process the coin count. Change Wars- 2 Host a competition for departments within the company using spare change, and the department with the most change in the baskets at the end of the week wins a special prize. Make it more fun subtract funds from another department by placing pennies in other teams buckets. (Silver adds up and pennies deduct.) Prizes could include special lunches for the department, dinner with the warehouse, etc. Counting on You- 1 Fill a large container with jellybeans, paper clips, marbles, coins, M&Ms, or other small items. Announce the grand prize beforehand and have employees/customers guess ($1 or $5 donation per guess) how many are in the container. Employee Calendars 2.5 Have employees take funny photos of themselves and create a calendar to sell within the office for a donation or utilize Miracle Stories from employees and each month showcase a Miracle Child who is connected to the company. Utilize a vendor partner to sponsor or underwrite the calendar. Parking Spot Auction- 1 Auction the premier parking spots to your employees. Those employees with the highest bid can park in the best spots for the month or year. Make it extra special by creating signs or painting the parking spots with the employee s name. Penalty Chart - 1 Set up rules such as anyone who is late to a meeting is charged $1. Someone who forgets to turn out the lights, or breaks other rules gets charged $1. Pennies from Heaven- 1.5 Purchase or rent umbrellas to hang upside down from the ceiling, a wire, a tent, or wherever possible. Hang Pennies from Heaven signs with an explanation such as, Throw your coins in the umbrella to help kids at our Children s Miracle Network hospital. The paper trail can be placed up and down aisles, at check stands, in a lobby, or wherever money can be collected and displayed securely. Circles the size of quarters are copied onto the paper so employees can help local kids by attaching quarters to the paper. Make tape or glue available to employees, and post signs explaining the campaign. To keep the momentum going strong, keep track of how far the quarters stretch and encourage employees to help you reach a certain goal. 70,400 quarters placed side by side will make one mile. Raffles- 2 Ask vendors to donate goods or services for an employee raffle. employees/customers or use for employees as a reward for meeting goals.
