Invasive devices, poor postoperative status and lack of standardized decontamination of surgical instruments are some of the major challenges in preventing infections in healthcare facilities. Earlier, the cost of HAI s was borne by patients, however, recent changes have mandated healthcare organizations to bear these costs. The costs incurred by drug-resistant infections amount to an estimated EUR 1.5 billion annually. Infection Control, Sterilization and Decontamination in Healthcare organised by MnM conferences, on 25th & 26th of February, 2016 in London aims at providing a platform for the industry leaders to discuss and brainstorm on the ongoing advancements and challenges for better sterile environment in hospitals.
