Your Partner for any Sheet Thickness In 1987 TRUMPF presented the first ever flatbed laser cutting machine with a TRUMPF TLF laser. Since then these machines have transformed everyday sheet metal fabrication. The TRUMATIC L 3030 L 4030 L 6030 machine series are the result of continual research and development, and incorporate all of our know-how. The laser cutting machines in the TRUMATIC L 3030 L 4030 L 6030 series are all based on a uniform machine design. These flying optic machines achieve high processing speeds independent of material weight. The machines vary in size. You simply select the working area that best suits your workpiece dimensions. All machines can be equipped with 2000 4000 watt lasers. Here again, simply choose the laser that best suits your parts spectrum. Machine Design Optimal cut consistency is achieved by integral mounting of the laser resonator on the machine frame. The automatic pallet changer enhances productivity by allowing loading and unloading simultaneous to production. The integral machine control and three-side accessibility of the offline pallet ensure ergonomic operation. 2

Control Technology A modern open-design control based on the Windows operating system guarantees ease of operation: Integrated material database simplifies programming and setup. Status, fault and diagnostic information is given in plain English. Tele-diagnostics provide the assurance of direct assistance through the standard phone modem. ToPs Lite programming system for the shop floor is included. Safety TRUMATIC laser cutting centers conform to the most stringent safety requirements. To guard against stray radiation, the working area is enclosed with a protective plexiglass cabin that also provides a clear view of the cutting process. Fumes and cutting residue are removed efficiently with a multi-chambered extraction system and dust collector. This protects the operator and the environment. The Parts Spectrum Rapid Processing Through Thick and Thin Perfect processing of thin sheets and thick plate The laser beam is a multifunctional tool. The ability to cut through a wide variety of materials, whether thick or thin, is its greatest advantage. Part geometry can be simple or complex the laser eliminates secondary operations and creates parts ready for assembly. The programming system provides additional support, ToPs knows how to process different materials. The TC L 3030 L 4030 L 6030 s primary function is cutting, however the laser s capabilities extend well beyond this: Part marking for identification purposes. Bend lines or punch marking for a secondary operation. Coated sheets can be readily processed. Laser Processing Best Achieved with Distance Automatic Height Sensing System The non-contact automatic height sensing system, DIAS, regulates the distance of the cutting nozzle and lens, from the workpiece. Optimal cutting results, even in uneven sheets, are a matter of course. DIAS detects the position of the sheet and transmits the data to the control. Subsequent manual repositioning is not required, resulting in a scratch-free finish. Automatic Focus Adjustment The laser beam is routed to the cutting head through a completely enclosed guideway. AutoLas Plus programmable focus system guarantees rapid setup and optimal results in any material type or thickness. Cutting with the DIAS automatic height regulation system. Operator panel in the machine frame The Programming System Tailored Precisely to the Machine ToPs 100 is a CAD/CAM solution developed by TRUMPF to optimally coordinate the programming system and machine. Drawings are imported from CAD systems, from ToPs 600 or drawn directly in ToPs 100. Nesting is job specific. Automatic processing of nested sheets at the touch of a button. ToPs incorporates all of our technical know-how. All operational parameters and data are stored in technology tables and rule sets. Expansion Options Customized, Modular Automation TRUMATIC L 3030-L 4030-L 6030 machines come standard with an automatic pallet changer that enables loading and unloading of the machine simultaneous to production. There are also several flexible expansion levels of automation that can be precisely adapted to meet your needs. Automatic Sheet Loader This loading device enables fast loading and easy handling. LiftMaster Automatic Load/Unload The LiftMaster automates loading and unloading operations. The sheets are transported from the raw material stack to the pallet changer by means of suction cups. Unloading forks then transport the cut parts to the finished parts stack. The LiftMaster enables unmanned production over several hours i.e. on a second shift. Storage Connection A flexible manufacturing cell can be created by adding a storage and retrieval system together with the LiftMaster load/unload device. This solution offers fully automated production. A storage system from TRUMPF can be utilized as your internal steel service center. 7

RotoLas Tube and Pipe Cutting RotoLas is an optional rotary axis for cutting of pipes and profiles. The changeover from flat sheet to pipe cutting takes place quickly. The NC rotary axis is rigidly fixed to the machine frame. A flexible support system guarantees that a wide variety of pipes can be securely guided. The accuracy and capability of laser cutting saves considerable time and expense by eliminating secondary operations and simplifying welding setup of tubes and profiles. Machining corners on square or rectangular tubes always poses a challenge. Cutting speed must be calculated precisely, and Z-axis travel must also be taken into account. The ToPs 400 programming system provides all the support you need. Developed specifically for tube machining, this system has the correct data and technology tables for each application. ToPs 400 makes designing complex penetrations and cuts simple. 8
