Many have contemplated as to what could be the essence of human existence and we have always strived to search outwards for what lies deep within us. This outward search coupled with our inner turmoil of ignorance has resulted in complications that have woven our lives with questions and unreasonable worries. We have therefore invited so much of stress, anger and despair in our world that we miss the real joy and harmony of life. It becomes essential to seek a guiding light in our lives at such nodes and then be driven to a simpler meditative course that brings happiness, joy and fulfillment in our lives. Meditation is not sitting in a particular position and focusing on a particular thing. It is being aware of what you are, what you want, and then rising above it; becoming a mere observer of your life and the world that surrounds you. Creativity, knowledge and inner harmony is what we all seek. Imagine if we are able to achieve a state of inner peace when we are filled with tremendous potential and zeal to achieve our desired goals in life. Meditation works as a catalyst that harnesses our true potential without any stress and we discover what we are and truly enjoy our talents and skills. It is amazing to realize that there is an ocean of knowledge and wisdom within all of us, waiting to enrich our personality and mind.

Sahaja Yoga Meditation awakens the latent kundalini energy within us. The kundalini energy which is the power of our awareness can be awakened within our human system to integrate our physical and mental wellbeing. Once we attain a state of integration, it becomes easy to manage our lifestyle as we desire. Meditation is a key ingredient of a healthy lifestyle modification. It synchronizes our mind, harmonizes our soul and keeps us in balance thereby streamlining our complete lifestyle. Meditation is knowing oneself and once you know the rhythm that is within you, you can understand the whole world. Self-awareness leads to self-realization and evolved consciousness. Sahaja Yoga offers a unique and complete experience of self-realization. It elevates one s state of awareness enabling the person to unite with the universal rhythm. It is a wonderful science of awakening the inner being and aligning with the subtle system.

The meditation techniques involved in Sahaja Yoga are an integration of the energy flow within our body and mind. It is a science that explains how various nodes (chakras) within our body are aligned together and affect various aspects of our physical, mental and spiritual being. Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi was born on March 21, 1923, in Chindawara, India. When she was young, Shri Mataji worked with Mahatma Gandhi in the fight for India's Independence. Her vision has always been of universal peace and global unity. To fully understand the human body's systems, Shri Mataji studied medicine at Lahore Medical College. Ultimately, her knowledge led her to develop Sahaja Yoga, the basis for Sahaja Meditation. Since then, she has travelled extensively to educate and enlighten people all over the world. Shri Mahatama Ghandhi Shri Mataji has had the honorific "Mother" bestowed upon her in recognition of her strength, love and devotion. Known as a dynamic and charismatic speaker, as well as a gifted teacher, Sahaja yoga continues to spread her message of peace and unity to audiences everywhere.
