Ionised Gold plating (IP Plating) on Stainless Steel The plating technique used in Stainless Steel production is very different from the Electro-Plating process used in Gold and Silver jewellery. The plating process used for our Stainless Steel jewellery is called Ionised Plating (IP) which is the most advanced surface finishing processes in the world today. Ion plating makes the plating more durable, more wear resistant, and also has a much higher brightness. It will not chip, tarnish or fade and is an environmentally friendly process. It is a very exciting development for all of us in the jewellery world and means that we now have the highest quality plated jewellery in the world today and is available at a fraction of the cost compared to real Gold jewellery. Sterling Silver Sterling Silver (Ag) is a soft white lustrous transition metal. It has long been valued as a precious metal and used in making ornaments and jewellery, as well as utensils (hence the term silverware). Sterling Silver is an alloy of 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper. Sterling Silver is harder than pure silver. All our Sterling Silver products are marked with 925 in accordance with the law which means that 925 parts per thousand are pure silver. It is 2.5 on Moh s scale which is slightly harder than pure gold. Stainless Steel Stainless Steel jewellery set with diamonds or cubic zirconia s is one of the fastest growing trends in Europe. The end result is just stunning. Not even our photos can do justice to how good it really is. Shell Pearls The new collection of shell pearls is called Luminescent which encapsulates the illuminating effect of white pearls. They have a beautiful natural pearl colour. The reason they look so good is because they are made from the exact same materials as the very expensive Cultured Pearl The material used in the Shell Pearl is a solid natural mother of Pearl bead which is then coated in natural sea shells and polished. It is often difficult to tell the difference between a shell pearl and a cultured pearl.
