Undergraduate Scholarships at GSA Student Guide 2015/16 DEADLINE FOR UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS Friday 29 th May 2015 by 4pm GMT Applications are invited from 1 st April 2015 onwards Version May 15 Scholarship Administration 1

A Guide to Undergraduate Scholarships at the GSA The Glasgow School of Art has a number of scholarships available to new Undergraduate students. Each scholarship has its own application criteria, however all scholarship applicants must have met the academic entry requirements for study at the Glasgow School of Art and hold either an Unconditional or Conditional offer letter or e-mail, which must accompany their scholarship application. When applying for a GSA scholarship you should note that some of the scholarships offer a contribution towards tuition fees to assist you during your study at the GSA, whilst others provide a maintenance grant. The value of the scholarship does not reflect the full cost of undertaking full-time study, and unless otherwise stated, the scholarships are for one academic year only, so you should ensure that you have sufficient funds to complete your course once the period of the scholarship has ended. For information on the other funds available to help you whilst you are studying at the GSA, please contact the Student Welfare Service (welfare@gsa.ac.uk). You should check the GSA website at http://www.gsa.ac.uk/life/fees,-fundingfinance/scholarships/ a regular basis prior to the deadline date/submitting your application for newly available scholarships. You may also find the Frequently Asked Questions section on the same webpage helpful. Please note the GSA reserves the right to make variations to the scholarships available and to not award in any year. About Your Scholarship Application You should check your eligibility against the scholarship criteria. If you are eligible you can apply for a maximum of two scholarships. You only need to submit one application form, stating your first and second choice. You should send your application form, together with any additional information that has been specified by the deadline date. Please do not send information that has not been specifically requested in the criteria, for example a CV, slides, catalogues. We can only consider your application on the basis of the information provided on the scholarship form so it is important that you are as clear as possible as to your eligibility and the reasons why you should be considered to receive the scholarship. Think carefully and make sure you present to us a clear picture of how you will use the funding and why you consider yourself to be the most suitable candidate for the scholarship; explain your financial need and details of how you intend to fund yourself during your studies. The deadline for Undergraduate scholarship applications is Friday, 29 th May 2015 by 4pm GMT. Version May 15 Scholarship Administration 2
