Introduction to SmartPlant Features GSA has recently invested in Intergraph s Smartplant P&ID, Smartplant Instrumentation and Smartplant 3D. These packages are a significant investment for company. Benefits to our clients include: Reduction in design hours due to data integration Clash free design Improved safety Accurate MTO Change & Impact Management Improved deliverables for construction Significant reduction in data handover time Data rich handover for plant operations Ability to workshare projects across offices Prove constructability and maintenance repair work Full integration with Laser scanning Reference in existing plant 3D Models The package also includes CAESAR II to conduct pipe stress analysis These reports are produced in an efficient manner, saving time, money and cost in regards to checking and approvals.
Features SmartPlant 3D can produce a good visual representation of designs. SmartPlant utilises industry standard tools for plant operators e.g. SmartPlant Instrumentation (INtools) and SmartPlant P&ID. There is a significant value to the owner to adopt these tools and take delivery of the GSA databases reducing handover costs and providing a rich data centric system to manage plant operations. Engineering represents only a small percentage of overall project costs, but it has a significant impact on construction & procurement costs. Ensuring accuracy at this key first stage could produce significant cost savings during construction & procurement.
Benefits SmartPlant addresses all identified engineering information requirements Provides a single source of accurate, complete and validated data Ensures that all drawings, equipment lists and reports contain consistent information Design Tools to enable efficient, automated generation of deliverables Consistency of data across disciplines Quality and completeness Supports the full lifecycle of a project
