Convention Thailand s s position Thailand Signed the UNFCCC in June 1992 at UNCED Ratified the UNFCCC in December 1994 (has entered into force since 28 March 1995) Kyoto Protocol Thailand signed the Kyoto Protocol in February 1999 Ratified on 28 August 2002

Thai Government policy on CDM project Cabinet Resolution on on 10 10 September 2002 2002 The Government is aware of the climate change problem The Government will support the projects which will contribute to the GHGs emission reduction In the case that the project will be implemented with the foreign implementation and generate carbon credit, each project must be submitted to the Cabinet for final approval.

Thai Government policy on institutional framework Cabinet Resolution on 1 July 2003 The National Committee on Climate Change chaired by Minister for Natural Resouces and Environment (MONRE) The National CDM Board chaired by Permanent Secretary of MONRE Appointed MONRE to be DNA CDM.
