Didactic Class Hours Notes Regarding End of Course Activities: 1. Only students who successfully complete the program by meeting all the requirements as outlined in the Academic Guidelines and Clinical Policies will receive a Medical Director s Letter of Completion. 2. Students must have received a Medical Director s Letter of Completion in order to be admitted to the State Practical Examinations. 3. Students must pass the NYS/National Registry Practical Exams (BLS & ALS) in order to be admitted to the NYS Written Certification Exam. 4. The New York City Medical Advisory Committee generally offers a written examination and written scenario exams for graduating paramedics shortly after the NYS Written Certification Exam. This date is not yet known, and is set at the discretion of the Medical Advisory Committee. Students will be advised of a tentative date as soon as it becomes known, but students must bear in mind that adjustments to the schedule, especially as the end of the program draws near, may be necessary. 5. If there is any significant time lapse between the end of the program and either the NYS Written Certification Exam or the NYC REMAC Written Exams, appropriate review Days may be arranged. 9
