Flight Planning 2020
Flight Planning 2020 - assumptions Traffic demand will increase dramatically over the next few years Free Route Airspaces require airspace management instead of segment restrictions Airspaces & routes will be activated or deactivated more often and on short notice Flow restrictions like the RAD will be used more tactically (dynamic updates) Complexity and number of restrictions will be constantly growing (e.g. RAD) Severe weather scenarios will occur more often due to climate change on a global scale Technology as a driver (aircaft avionics, broadband communication, mobile devices)
