Creativ Lucento 83 Creativ Lucento 83 Decorative effect paint with metallic appearance, wet abrasion resistance class 1, for interior use, with Creativ Cristallo 183 Properties Waterbased, low-pollutant deko effect paint on acrylate basis. Low-odor, adhesive, hardwearing, with metallic surface appearance. By optional addition of Creativ Cristallo 183, a texturable, special surface effect is obtained additionally. Wet abrasion resistance Class 1 according to EN 13300. Additionally, highly diffusible and easy to use. Field of application For producing high-quality, hardwearing designs on interior ceiling and wall surfaces. Thanks to the special, metallic surface appearance, either with or without texturing surface effect, each room will have its individual effect. Creativ Lucento 83 is particularly suitable for designing representative or business rooms in restaurants, hotels, shops or private living rooms. Depending on the design, the material can be used on smooth or textured substrates such as interior plaster (normal plaster mortar group PII, PIII, PIV depending on the compressive strength), concrete, gypsum plaster boards and wall coverings such as Relief, fiberglass fabric, etc. Different design techniques and applications make it possible to create individual surface effects with a metallic appearance. Metal texturing technique Casino 4c10, (standard technique) with the addition of Creativ Cristallo 183 for metallic-iridescent and lightly textured surfaces on smooth substrates. Metal texturing technique Traverso 4c11, with the addition of Creativ Cristallo 183 for metallic-iridescent surfaces with directionally emphasized textures on smooth substrates. Metal texturing technique Floortec 4c12, with the addition of Creativ Cristallo 183 for floor surfaces with a metalliciridescent effect, for interior use Alternatively, effect coatings with Creativ Lucento 83, without addition of Creativ Cristallo 183, can be applied on textured substrates and wall coverings, such as relief, glass fabric, brush-on plaster or smooth surfaces. This is normally done on surfaces which are pre-painted in the base. Material description Creativ Lucento 83 s: 0999 gold and 0995 silver as well as 68 s via the Brillux System in accordance with the Creativ Metallic Wall Design card Gloss grade: metallic changing surface gloss material: water-dilutable vinyl acetate ethylene copolymer dispersion with pearl-gloss pigments and additives Density: approx. 1.10 g/cm³ Packaging: 2.5 l Creativ Cristallo 183 Translucent effect additive for use in Creativ Lucento 83. : transparent Material: special mixture of high-quality, purely mineral filling beads with homogenous and smooth surface. Packaging: 500 g (plastic container) Date: 27.08.2014 Page 1 of 4

Use Mixing ratio (for application in standard technique Casino ) Add 500 g of Creativ Cristallo 183 to 2.5 l Creativ Lucento 83 and mix thoroughly. Directly after addition, mark the Creativ Lucento 83 container in the free area provided on the label with the lid label of Creativ Cristallo 183. Thinning Ready for use, do not thin. For roller application as effect coating on textured substrates only, the material can be thinned with water, as required, up to approx. 10 %. Tinting All s can be mixed with one another without limitations. Compatibility Only mixable with similar materials and those specified in this Data Sheet. Application Stir Creativ Lucento 83 thoroughly before use. Use Microfiber Paint Roller 1221 to apply Creativ Lucento 83, crisscrossing with short strokes during the first operation and distribute and smooth uniformly using irregular, short roller strokes to create a fine rolled texture. Do not smoothen the area in whole, uniform strips. In the second work step, apply the material mixed with Creativ Cristallo 183 in clumps using Paintbrush, oval 1175 and equalize using Surface Paintbrush 1210 or Deco Wiper 1192. Only mix as much material as you can use up in the specified usable time. The effect paint should generally be applied evenly, making sure that the layer is not too thick. Separate descriptions are available for creative technique 4c10 Metal texturing technique Casino, 4c11 Metal texturing technique Traverso and Metal texturing technique Floortec 4c12, the application and decorating steps are described in detail in them (see Application descriptions under Notes). As effect coating without addition of Creativ Cristallo 183 on textured or smooth substrates, apply Creativ Lucento 83 diluted approx. 10% with water in two identical work steps, allowing for sufficient drying between the work steps. In each case, apply Creativ Lucento 83 crisscrossing evenly in short strokes with Microfiber Paint Roller 1221. Do not roll the roller down over the entire surface and do not re-smooth the applied material. Due to the great variety of different textured substrates and the individual light conditions, we recommend preparing test surfaces before the actual application. Applying time (at 20 C, 65 % r. m.). After application (medium layer thickness), approx. 10 minutes for further design. Consumption (per layer) If applied using a paint roller without addition of Creativ Cristallo 183: approx. 130 ml/m². If applied in clumps with addition of Creativ Cristallo 183: approx. 200 ml/m². On textured substrates, consumption will be higher, depending on roughness and design. Determine exact consumption by means of a test application on the object to be coated. Application temperature Do not apply if air or object temperature is under +5 C. Do not use in direct sunlight. Tool cleaning Clean tools immediately after use with water. Drying (+20 C, 65 % relative humidity) Allow to dry for at least 24 hours before applying the next coat. Allow longer drying times at lower temperatures and/or higher air humidity. The drying times between the individual work steps must be observed in any case. If next coat is applied too early, the first material layer may swell. Storage Store in a cool and frost-free location. Reseal opened containers tightly. Ensure that containers are marked properly after mixture with Creativ Cristallo 183. Stir material mixed with Creativ Cristallo 183 thoroughly and pour material in another container after extended storage periods. Page 2 of 5

Declaration Water pollution classification Class 1, according to VwVwS. Product code M-DF01. Comply with the specifications in the current Safety Data Sheet. Building up the coating Surface preparation The surface must be solid, dry, clean, load bearing and free from efflorescence, sintered layers, separating agents, corrosion promotion components or other intermediate layers affecting the adhesion. Check existing coats for suitable ity, carrying capacity and adhesiveness. Wash down intact coats of oil paints and varnishes with an alkaline solution, sand down well and clean. Remove defective and unsuitable coats as well as any wall coverings, including any paste or glue residues and dispose of them as per the applicable regulations. Thoroughly remove any distemper. Fluate replastered areas properly. Apply prime and/or intermediate coat on the substrate depending on the requirements. Also see VOB Part C, DIN 18363, Section 3. Substrates which may be subject to cracking Substrates like plasterboard, fiber boards, etc., may be subject to cracking and should be rein forced additionally in order to prevent cracks. For this purpose, we recommend gluing CreaGlas Fabric 3457, Design 2289 Middle with CreaGlas Fabric Adhesive ELF 377 and filling with Mineral Hand Applying Light Filler 1886 several times. Intermediate coat/base Before application of the creative technique, a uniformly covering coat of Super Latex ELF 3000, for example, must be applied in a matching the general design (refer to the overview of base s). Use Microfiber Paint Roller 1221 to apply the base uniformly and without texture. Notes Masking surfaces The surfaces to be painted are to be masked before each work cycle; otherwise the coat may be torn off. Turn off air conditioning systems Before application of Creativ techniques, turn off air conditioning, air dehumidifiers, etc., because such equipment will make proper execution of the work impossible. Dising in the case of gypsum plasterboard If there is a risk of disations penetrating through untreated gypsum plasterboard, an additional blocking coating must be applied. Depending on the situation at the specific site, use Aqualoma ELF 202, Isolating Primer 924 or CreaGlas 2C PU Finish 3471 for this. Sample coatings over the width of a number of boards including joints and filled points have been shown to be appropriate for precise evaluation. Avoid contact with plasticizers Keep Creativ Lucento 83 away from plasticizer-containing plastic materials, e.g. sealing profiles/sealing materials. No alkaline substrates Do not apply on alkaline substrates. This would result in pigment dising. Excluded application Do not use for coating rack shelves, table tops, seating furniture or substrates containing plasticizers, e.g. foamed vinyl wallpapers. Do not use in areas with a high moisture impact. If the coated surfaces are exposed to a high moisture impact there is the risk of blushing. effect The and surface effect are visible clearly only after sufficient drying. The general effect depends on various factors. The absorbing capacity of the substrate in combination with the general design, the applied quantity and the number of paint coats as well as the surface texture will have a great impact on the surface effect and quality. To assess the actual, we recommend painting sample surfaces in the selected using the required design variant. Mark container After addition of Creativ Cristallo 183, remove the lid label of Creativ Cristallo 183 and fix it to the free area on the label of the relevant Creativ Lucento 83 container. This is the only way to ensure that the mixed wet material can be identified clearly and mixing up of containers is avoided reliably. Due to the transparency and fineness, it is hardly possible to identify if the additive was already added to the Creativ Lucento 83 container.
