The development of the completely renewed range of 2nd generation parquet and flooring adhesives continues in cooperation with professional flooring teams in order to meet the specific requirements of the professionals who use these adhesives. Special emphasis has been placed on the rheology of our new adhesives. The result is a range of products which are very easy to apply and combine excellent form stability (easy to spread, peaks remain when spread with a toothed adhesive comb), long open times and high end strength. For a number of years we have become a key supplier of systems for elastic ship deck bonding. This application has the highest requirements of timber and adhesives.

3 Short application instructions The complete set of instructions can be found in the technical data sheets of the different products and in our brochure with application advice. BEFORE YOU START Let the timber and the adhesive get acclimatized. Only remove the timber from its packaging when you start to work. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS Temperature in the room should be between 15 C and 25 C, relative humidity under 75%. Walls should be dry. Do not apply in rooms which have been plastered recently. SUBSTRATES The substrate must be completely even, dry and clean. It must be stable enough to absorb tear strengths of (min 1N/mm 2 ) and more. Cellars below subfloors need to be well ventilated. If there is no cellar below the ground floor, the substrates must be above the ground level and be protected by a moisture liner. SCREED Fresh screed should be completely dry. Before the placing of the floor this should be verified with a carbide test at the most humid place. Maximum allowed humidity: sand & concrete screed: 2% anhydrite screed: 0,5% OTHER SURFACES Apply the same rules for all other substrates. If in doubt, consult our leaflet with application instructions or our technical service. THE APPLICATION OF THE ADHESIVES For small format parquet, apply adhesive with a finely toothed notched throwel such as B3. For large format parquet use a notched throwel with wide teeth such as B11. Only use the amount of adhesive required for the amount of parquet which can be bonded within 60 minutes in order to avoid skin forming of the adhesive which will result in reduced bond strength.

4 MS-30P MS Polymer Adhesive WOOD FLOORING ADHESIVES Based on its extensive experience in MS Polymer technology in ship deck bonding, Soudal introduces its new parquet adhesive : MS 30P. MS 30P is completely free of water and combines the excellent mechanical characteristics of 2-component PU technology with the ease of use of single-component dispersion based adhesives. There are almost no limitations as to pot life and work is much cleaner with MS-30P. Soudal MS-30P can be used with all types of parquet, from large scale planks, via mosaic parquet, and small format parquet, made of all types of wood onto all types of substrates, both porous and non-porous, even directly onto screed. As MS-30P remains permanently elastic, it absorbs stress and movement inherent in wooden flooring much better and therefore reduces the risk of tears in the screed of sub floor. An additional advantage of elastic flooring adhesives is the improved noise- absorption. Like other MS Polymer based products used in marine applications, Soudal MS-30P is suited for a number of types of exotic woods. Compared with other parquet adhesives, the product has a better resistance to humidity (please consult our technical service for floors with high rest moisture contents). MS-30P MS Polymer New technology based on ship deck bonding with MS Polymer Adhesives. Suitable for all types of wood on porous and non porous substrates. Exceeds the safety of two-component adhesive systems, ease of use comparable to dispersion types. Does not contain water or solvents: 100% adhesive. Does not contain isocyanates. Remains permanently elastic after full cure.

5 PU-20P 2-Component Adhesive The two-component Polyurethane adhesive system ensures very high strength bonding of all types of wood onto most substrates. Soudal s PU-20P is therefore highly suited for the gluing of massive planks directly onto screed. For many types of exotic wood, for timber with a strong expansion factor such as beech, maple, cherry and for large planks, this product is therefore the best choice. The two-component technology results in very fast curing, so that the floor is ready for sanding after 24 hours and can be finished quickly. Soudal s PU-20P creates after full cure (ca. 24 hours at 21 C and 50% RH) a hard-elastic adhesive layer which does not shrink and bonds the parquet layer strongly. PU-20P approaches single-component systems in its ease of use. Soudal uses a system which integrates the B-component in the lid of the tin and which has a long pot life (more than 50 minutes measured in real life applications). Soudal PU-20P is activated by mixing the B-component with the A-component with a drill with a special mixing head. Once mixed, the whole tin must be used within 50 min., otherwise the adhesive will cure inside the tin. PU-20P 2K-Polyurethane Adhesive For all types of timber on porous and non porous substrates. Suited for large planks without nailing. Strong hard-elastic adhesive layer. Does not contain water or solvents: 100% adhesive. Pot-life: >50 min. Very easy to tool.

6 DS-10P Dispersion Adhesive WOOD FLOORING ADHESIVES Dispersion adhesives are easy to use and economical and are therefore very popular with professional floor layers. Soudal DS-10P is a high solid parquet adhesive (>75%), which contains very little water and has been developed for types of parquet which are not sensitive to moisture for the bonding on porous substrates. Special care has been taken to ensure excellent form stability of the adhesive notches and to ensure ease of use. DS-10P can be spread smoothly while maintaining its form stability. The product has a long open time of 30 minutes combined with quick strength build-up. These characteristics make DS-10P especially suited for the fast laying of large surfaces of mosaic parquet and nailed small format parquet on porous substrates such as composite sub floors, chipboard etc. For water sensitive types of parquet, large formats and non porous substrates we recommend the use of PU-20P or MS-30P. Remark: Leave adhesive to evaporate for at least 3 days before sanding and finishing. Do not apply on anhydrite screed as this is sensitive to moisture. DS-10P Dispersion Adhesive For parquet types which are not sensitive to moisture and for porous substrates. High solid content: >75%. Does not smell and contains no solvents. Very easy to spread. Perfect form stability of the notches.

7 SV-15P Synthetic Resin Adhesive Primers Improves the bond of our adhesives on substrates. Reduces moisture absorption of the substrate. Fixes permanently residues of dust and sanding residues. SV-15P Synthetic Resin Adhesive Solvent free dispersion primer for the preparation of porous and non porous substrates prior to the application of our adhesives. The primer fixes powdery and not sufficiently solid surfaces, reduces porosity and improves the bond strength of our parquet adhesives. Consult our technical service for the right solution. Traditional adhesive technology, contains solvents. Very easy to use. Excellent penetration characteristics.

8 Finishing Products FINISHING PRODUCTS PRO 30D For laminate floors and floating parquet. Fast drying waterproof dispersion adhesive (D3 to DIN EN 204) which dries to become semitransparent. Not suited for full surface bonding. Soudaseal 235 SF Parquet Seal 12P Ship deck caulking technology to give a maritime look to your parquet planking floor. A technically sound and aesthetic solution to make large seams water resistant. Especially suited in moist area s (kitchens, bathrooms) and for the maintenance and renovation of antique plank floors. Soudaseal 235 SF can be sanded with the parquet after full cure. Montagepro 140 Elastic colour matched sealant which fills seams and joints between parquet strokes and between parquet and walls and lathes. Available in 6 different wood colours for esthetical sealing results. Solvent free construction adhesive with extra high green strength (140kg/m 2 ) for the bonding of plinths, lathes, etc. Soudaseal HT Universal problem solver which should be in the tool box of any professional floorer. Combines high bond strength with elasticity and can be used as adhesive or sealant. Very versatile bonding of all kinds of materials, e.g. of wooden elements which have come loose.
