Product standards need equipment and systems to be immune to predetermined limits of electromagnetic interference; the test methods employed being set down by international technical committees. The standards set by the IEC, ANSI-IEEE, VDE, etc, cover products of every description from humble household appliances, through office automation equipment up to heavy industrial applications. In-house software development by our own experts has resulted in user-friendly application packages that are mutually compatible and present a unified appearance to the user. Standardconformance test parameters are preprogrammed and can easily be called up from memory to execute a compliance test reliably. A generic sequencer communicates with all the items of equipment present in a test rig to facilitate the automation of test procedures over the entire test spectrum. Test Documentation Meaningful reports are necessary to accompany certification, for product files and for quality assurance purposes. The test software produces readydesigned report forms containing all the relevant details of the test parameters together with the results obtained during each test procedure. If necessary, the data can be exported and individual test reports produced. The user benefits from Schaffner s experience with customer measurements in terms of considerable time savings in test administration. Calibration Service Schaffner operates a number of calibration laboratories within the group, accredited by UKAS and SCS in accordance with international standards, for the periodic, traceable recalibration of test equipment.
