INTRODUCTION Pinnacle Research Journals 44 Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is an iterative system for identifying, analyzing, evaluating, testing, and monitoring the entire process of an organization or a company. In every organization, Enterprise Resource Planning is recognized as, an essential contributor to business and project success [1]. The business environment is dramatically changing. Companies today face the challenge of increasing competition, expanding markets, and rising customer expectations [3]. As the business world moves ever closer to a completely collaborative model and competitors upgrade their capabilities, to remain competitive, organizations must improve their own business practices and procedures. Companies must also increasingly share with their suppliers, distributors, and customers the critical in-house information they once aggressively protected [4]. ERP provides two major benefits that do not exist in non-integrated departmental systems: (1) a unified enterprise view of the business that en- compasses all functions and departments; and (2) an enterprise database where all business transactions are entered, recorded, processed, monitored, and reported [5]. Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems were introduced into companies to solve various organizational problems and to provide an integrated frame as an information technology.
An ERP system is an integrated software package composed by a set of standard functional modules (production, sales, human resources, finance, etc.) developed or integrated by the vendor that can be adapted to the specific needs of each customer [6]. To work successfully, the ERP solutions need to address a lot of factors. There should be good people who know the business. The vendor should be good, and his package should be one of the best suited for the, company s needs. The ERP consultants should be good. The system developers should plan well and execute perfectly the implementation [2]. Higher education institutions are persisting in the IS era by adopting and implementing ERP system. The need to evaluate their benefits and impacts on organizations and individuals are increasingly essential. Employing IS in this sector is very critical to its success and its efficiency of services as ISs are critical factors that affect staff, tasks and quality of services and outcomes [7]. For universities, ERP is an information technology solution that integrates and automates recruitment, admissions, financial aid, student records, and most academic and administrative services. ERP can be used for both administrative and academic purposes by universities. Administrative functions include: human resources, accounting, payroll, and billing. Academic functions include: recruitment, admissions, registration, and all aspects of student records [8].
