also prohibited. In the mid twentieth century the Russian History Library compiled several atlases on the basis of maps at this archive, which are kept at various libraries in Russia. VI. Archive of the Russian Geographic Society (Saint Petersburg) There are maps in the library of the Russian Geographic Society, but they have yet to be processed, and we were unable to obtain permission to conduct research.
