Fraport AG Frankfurt/Main Airport, Germany The Working Group of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering for State and Local Governments (AMEV) produced a BACnet directive in 2011. This was in relation to tendering for public contracts in Germany, containing recommendations on the functionality of BACnet-certified equipment in terms of object types, services and machinery labelling. Beckhoff BACnet controllers are tested in accordance with the AMEV profile AS-B (BACnet Building Controller with extended requirements) and were certified by AMEV in May 2014. To be qualified as a vendor for Frankfurt/Main Airport, however, further tests were required. After completion, Beckhoff has been included into the group of building automation cooperation partners of Fraport together with system integrators Hermos AG and is approved to submit tenders. Nuremberg exhibition grounds, Hall 3A Exhibition company, NürnbergMesse, has featured a new highlight since spring 2014: The glass facade of Exhibition Hall 3A is illuminated by 11 LED light strips extending to a length of 880 m. The system is extremely easy to operate, with a Beckhoff Embedded PC used to make sure the right colours (e.g. in line with the company s corporate design) appear at the right times and in the right places. Wastewater treatment, ZWAV, Germany German utility, Zweckverband Abwasser und Wasser Vogtland (ZWAV) supplies about 250,000 citizens with fresh drinking water daily. Process automation of the wastewater treatment plants is managed by a Beckhoff control platform, consisting of an Industrial PC with Control Panel, Embedded PCs, TwinCAT automation software and I/O terminals.
