Corrected Anomalies This section describes the anomalies corrected in this revision for software: DriveExecutive Does Not Export Universal Feedback Module Parameters When Saving as.csv Anomaly: When exporting a PowerFlex 750-Series drive with a Universal Feedback module to a.csv file, the Universal Feedback module's parameters were not exported. Correction: The.csv file now contains the Universal Feedback parameters. DriveExecutive Does Not Allow Flash Upgrades of Peripherals in Boot Mode Anomaly: DriveExecutive would not allow peripherals such as the 20-HIM-A6 and 20-750-UFB to be flash upgraded when they are operating in boot mode (The Flash button on the Properties page was disabled). Correction: The Flash button is now enabled for devices in boot mode. DriveExecutive Crashes on Parameter Save for PowerFlex 755 CIP Motion Drive Over Embedded Ethernet Anomaly: DriveExecutive crashes if the user tries to save a.dno file for a PowerFlex 755 drive connected to a network via Embedded Ethernet when a CIP Motion connection is active. The crash occurs when DriveExecutive tries to upload the DeviceLogix program data. Correction: Updated DriveExecutive to handle communication errors returned when trying to read the DeviceLogix program. The software will still not be able to read the DeviceLogix data while the CIP Motion connection is active, but the crash will no longer occur.
7 DriveExecutive Issues with Custom Firmware Anomaly: DriveExecutive reports the wrong version and cannot create a new offline device for some drives with custom firmware. DriveExecutive interpreted the custom firmware version incorrectly and would have errors if the custom revision did not match the normal revision. Correction: Updated to correctly interpret the custom firmware revision and updated the database searching to always use the standard revision to avoid errors. RSLinx Driver Setup Dialog Will Not Launch Inside of DriveExecutive on Windows 7 Anomaly: In Windows 7, the Driver Setup dialog would not launch from the Connect to Drive window when RSLinx was running as a service. It had to be configured to run as an application for the dialog to launch correctly. Correction: Added a notification message in Windows Vista and later if RSLinx is running as a service and the user tries to launch the Driver Setup dialog. Restrictions The following restriction applies to this revision of firmware: DriveTools SP V3.01 v5.03 DriveTools SP v3.01 v5.03 must already be installed on your PC in order for the v5.04 patch to install. If v3.01 v5.03 is not already on the PC an error message will occur stating that v3.01 v5.03 was not found.
