C.A.R. (Asylum Seeker Centre) DURATION From 1st of October 2014 to 30th of June 2015 C.A.R. is a centre situated in Alcobendas where asylum seekers live while waiting for both legal and better social situation. Our volunteer wil work in a very intercultural enviroment and will have the opportunity to contact with people from all over the world. As their situation as refugees is quite difficult and sad our volunteer will be there to help them and to make their lives a little bit happier. Asylum seekers ( any age, children, youngsters, elderly people) To support and help the team of social workers in anything they may need in their work with the residents. Bring into the C.A.R. a new and fresh energy coming from an European volunteer which may help the residents in their daily life. Motivate and invigorate the C.A.R. residents by organizing activities to involve them as much as possible in the local community. Working in the library of the C.A.R. (doing reading activities, lending books and controling whether residents return them back, etc...) Take people from C.A.R. to the city hall, to Social Security Department and to the medical Centre to help them obtain their documents (registration, number of social insurance, medical card) Organizing visits for residents to go to leisure and cultural activities which take place in Alcobendas or Madrid (museums, sport activities, games, reading activities in libraries, etc ) Organizing activities for leisure time (music workshop, any kind of dance, theatre workshop, visit to Science Museum or any other, Halloween party, movies, sports, etc...) When necessary, go to the doctor with the residents.

IMAGINE-YOUTH CENTRE ACTIVITIES PROPOSED FOR THE VOLUNTEER CIBER DURATION From 1 of October 2014 to 30 of June 2015 La Ciber is a big space with computers and other equipment which permit the free use of the latest technologies to young people. On the other hand, it has plenty of traditional games as chess, backgammon, tabletop football etc. This place enable youngster to take part in information society, to use correctly a computer and to meet with their preferences. The project has got an important and strong educational aspect concerning youngsters. It deals with helping them to learn, to share things with youngsters from different cultures and to take part in society. The volunteer will be involved in a working team from IMAGINA to develop sport workshops, audio & music workshops, etc. Besides he/she has to spread information among youngsters about the activities and he/she has to encourage youngsters participation. Young people from 14 to 25 years old with less opportunity. Creating a friendly and warm atmosfer in the place where the youngsters can meet each other and can do activities together avoiding bad habits they may acquire spending all the time in the streets. Promoting of creation of associations among young people and participation in society. Offering Alcobendas youngsters access to new technologies, workshops and equipment to be borrowed. Promoting la Ciber among younsters. Motivating youngster to take part in the activities. Elaborating new activities related to new technologies. Creating a good relationship with Ciber s users. Working in net with some others departments of IMAGINA. Promote workshops to raise youngsters awareness about good values.

IMAGINA TU NOCHE DURATION From 1st of October 2014 to 30th of June 2015 The voluntareer will be integrated in one of IMAGINA s working team (one technical supervisor and four animators). He/she will realize social cultural animation for young people between 16 and 30 in the frame of the Saturday night leisure activity called Imagina tu noche. He/She will participate on the activities organized every Saturday evening and will help along the week to prepare them, working always in the mentioned group. Young people from 16 to 30 years old. To create an alternative way of enjoy Saturday nights through leisure activities where young people can express their creativity and needs avoiding bad habits related to alcohol and drugs. To promote positive values an attitude among youngsters to question consumerism and ordinary patterns of enjoy leisure time at night. To foster relationships among young people to cooperate together in activities promoting team work. Programming: participate in the elaboration part of the program which will be organized from October till June and be present each Saturday night. To help the organizational part of it and put them in action (make contacts, prepare the material and take part in the evaluations every Saturday). Diffusion: To prepare the advertising weekly, this means making posters, leaflets, emails, web pages, etc. To work in an active and creative way in the group of this program: help the work-out and collect the youth s proposals.

Ocio y Educacion Infantil DURATION From 1 of October 2014 to 30 of June 2015 The volunteer will help in the diferent leisure programmes for children (jugueton, aventurarte, clubs infantiles, cultura en familia) He will prepare activities for children and their parents. He will spend time with the kids and acompany them in the learning of values such as respect, activness, patience, living with each other. Love is all they need! Children from 4 to 15 years old. Promotion and application of the Convention of the Rights of the Child (CRC) at the municipal level Teaching of how to coexist peacefully Encouraging of healthy development of children. Awareness raising activities of the CRC aimed at families, children and teenagers Activities for social abilities development and coexistence Activities for common integration of children and adults and development of psychomotor, affective, cognitive and creative autonomy Education activities for parents in the field of edutainment Family cooperation activities

ASECORIA DE MOVILIDAD EUROPEA (ME) DURATION From 1st of October 2014 to 30th of June 2015 The Office of European Mobility is the place where young people can get to know all actions of the European Commission s Youth Program. AME organizes its activities (youth exchanges, seminars, send and host european volunteers, etc.) and collaborates with other European organizations within the frame of this Youth Program. It is also managing a campaing of Workcamps to send youngsters all over the world as well as in Europe. Our volunteer will bring ideas and support the ME s activities. Young people from 16 to 30 years old. To impulse and offer international programs for Alcobendas young people. To attract the public s attention and give advices about international programs and voluntary services. To open young people mind providing activites to go abroad. To improve young people skills by offering opportunies to learn languages and learn about other countries culture. To enlarge the number of the international contacts and members to encourage the International Youth Program. To coordinate the local organizations which are taking part in International Programs. Supporting the ME by giving attention to youngster requests about international projects. Elaborating a monthly newsletter with info about international activities related to us. Being in charge of Eurodesk daily managing and keep it updated. To stand and intermediate between him/herself, the other volunteers and the EVS responsible person. Carrying the main tasks concerning our Workcamp Season.
