Oiltech Investment Network What we do? What s the value? The Oiltech Investment Network was established in 2010 to drive innovation and encourage the application of new technologies within the upstream oil & gas sector. The network achieves this by providing a platform to connect end users to innovative technology providers and entrepreneurs to energy focussed investors. Oiltech is formed of 12 investor member companies (BP Technology Ventures, Chevron Technology Ventures, ConocoPhillips Technology Ventures, Energy Ventures, GE Ventures, Investinor, Lime Rock Partners, Repsol Energy Ventures, Saudi Aramco Energy Ventures, Statoil Technology Invest, Total Energy Ventures and Viking Venture). The network is run on behalf of the members by OTM Consulting. OTM, a division of Sagentia Group plc, offers specialist technology consulting services to the oil & gas sector, helping companies to maximize value from their investments in R&D and technology. Oiltech provides 2 valuable platforms to drive innovation within the sector. Entrepreneurs Advisory Workshops (EAW) aim to connect innovative technology providers with access to funding opportunities. These workshops are designed to provide industry specific advice and expertise for entrepreneurs seeking partner funding. They also offer networking opportunities for entrepreneurs to meet providers of grant, early seed and direct industry funding as well as other advisors in areas such as IP, finance and legal. Technology Showcases allow the current Oiltech Members portfolio (approximately 80 companies) to present their technologies and solutions to technology advisors, asset managers, and other interested parties within Operator and Service Companies. These events help to increase industry awareness of new technologies as well as facilitate field trial opportunities and technology uptake. What s new? The network has continued to observe an increased interest by operators and investment firms in technologies with applications in the oil and gas sector. In 2014 Oiltech welcomed three new operator investor members, ConocoPhillips Technology Ventures, Repsol Energy Ventures and Total Energy Ventures to the group.
