What is BULATS? BULATS, the Business Language Testing Service is a language assessment service. By testing a number of linguistic skills, BULATS produces accurate language profiles of candidates. BULATS is a collaborative venture between the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations and three leading European language institutes: the Alliance Française, the Goethe-Institute and the Universidad de Salamanca, ensuring the rigour of the tests, the accuracy of each language version and the reliability of the results. Results are based on the internationally recognised and standardised level framework of the Association of Language Testers in Europe (ALTE), which is directly linked to the levels of the Council of Europe s Common European Framework for modern languages (CEF).
BULATS is a multilingual service, offering tests in English, French, German and Spanish. The following tests are offered: ü BULATS Online Reading and Listening test ü BULATS CD-ROM Reading and Listening test ü BULATS Standard test (a paper-based reading and listening test) ü BULATS Online Speaking test (English only) ü BULATS Speaking test (a face-to-face Speaking test) ü BULATS Online Writing test (English only) ü BULATS Writing test (a paper-based writing test) Tests can be combined to test all four language skills or they can be used independently. Tests of English are produced by the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations, French by the Alliance Française, German by the Goethe-Institut and Spanish by the Universidad de Salamanca. These four institutions are members of the Association of Language Testers in Europe. BULATS is coordinated by University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations, who have been producing language examinations since 1913 and deliver over 1.5 million tests a year in over 130 countries. Interpretation of scores: Information on BULATS Test Results / BULATS Test Report Test Results The BULATS Online Test produces a report with the candidate's overall score (on a scale of 0-100) and level (on the ALTE level system of 0-5), and their score on each section of the test. The Test Report Form can be printed from the administrator's programme. On the reverse of the report there is a summary of the ALTE "Can Do Statements". When do I get the Certificate? You will know the scores as soon as you finish the test, while the certificate will take up to two weeks.

The Exam it is designed to help you with pre training and course materials to improve your English and therefore achieve the best of scoring.
