Royal Institute of British Architects RIBA PART 3 COURSE IN HONG KONG - 2016 Over the last year the RIBA has introduced an overseas Part 3 course and examination in both Hong Kong and more recently Dubai. Following the success of this venture we hope to continue on a yearly basis. This RIBA Part 3 course replicates the UK based Part 3 provision and primarily supports those students who have successfully completed their Part 1 and Part 2 in the UK, together with the required practical training experience, but who are currently working overseas. This expansion to the current RIBA Part 3 provides a local route to complete their UK Education and upon successful completion of the course and examination give them the opportunity to register with both ARB and RIBA. The demand for this opportunity has increased significantly with many UK post part 2 students seeking work abroad and importantly the withdrawal of Tier 1 post study work visas which will affect the overseas students who have studied in the UK. NB Recent changes to eligibility requirements have also opened the course up to others who have completed an architectural education outside of the UK, see ELIGIBILITY for more information. Given the UK format of the RIBA Part 3 course and examination it required little change in order to be delivered in Hong Kong. The course has been registered with the Hong Kong Education Bureau (HKEB) and in accordance with their regulations we must state: it is a matter of discretion for individual employers to recognize any qualification to which this course may lead Course registration number: 352367 ELIGIBILITY Recent changes to eligibility have opened the course up to many more potential candidates and can be summarised as follows: RIBA 1834 Hong Kong Ltd Correspondence address, Unit 101, The Tea Factory, 82 Wood Street, Liverpool, L1 4DQ, UK Tel: +44 (0)151 707 4381 Fax: +44(0)151 703 0108 part3@riba.org www.architecture.com Registered office: Suite 1, 8/F, New Henry House, 10 Ice House Street, Central, Hong Kong Company Registration No: 1910999 Business Registration No: 61472181 Eligibility to take the course Provided you have passed a course in architecture of at least 5 years and are undertaking practical training experience you are eligible to register for the Part 3 course.
