pag. 3 Introduction and general hints I Profili SRL is the manufacturer of the CURVING PROFILE (30mm -50mm -75mm -100mm) and the CONCAVE & CONVEX CURVING STUD (60x27). Curving Profile DESCRIPTION Our Curving Profile was created to satisfy the most sophisticated and creative requirements of planners, designers and direct operators. It is the result of precise design and accurate realization and after years of studies and tests, our product has been patented. Thanks to its innovative flexible but resistant form - maintaining structure, the Curving Profile can easily be bent in all directions by hand. It therefore provides easy application to installers and total freedom in design to architects, planners etc. It perfectly maintains its curvature without using any kind of additional stiffening material It can create curves with different radii (variable at the same curve) e.g. arches, semicircles ribbed curves etc.. Vertical studs slide very easily into the Curving Profile structure and once in the required position, they automatically remain blocked. Thanks to the special construction of the Curving Profile, screws always find a secure fixing point. The stability and rigidity of the Curving Profile allow the installation to be carried out by just one person. MATERIAL Zinc coated steel with a thickness of 0,6mm, is produced in accordance with the CEE standard: DX51D Z140 CERTIFICATE In accordance with the standards UNI EN 14195/2005 UNI EN 10346/2009 UE 305/2011 SIZES Available widths : 30, 50, 75, 100 mm Fixed length of the profiles 3000 mm, with maximum tolerance of +2%

pag. 4 WEIGHT Curving Profile 30mm: 0,36 Kg/linear meter Curving Profile 50mm: 0,54 Kg/linear meter Curving Profile 75mm: 0,64 Kg/linear meter Curving Profile 100mm: 0,74 Kg/linear meter STORAGE Weather protection required; as a stacked product, use adequate transport/lifting systems to avoid breaking/sliding/falling, particularly during the stacking phase. PACKAGING Each cluster contains 8 profiles. Each pallet contains 25 clusters, i.e. 200 profiles, equal to at least 600 linear meters of product. PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT Handle only with gloves that meet the 89/686/CEE - 2011/C 329/01 standards. CONCAVE & CONVEX Curving Stud 60X27 DESCRIPTION The Concave & Convex Curving Stud 60X27 mm was created to satisfy and fill the product range for dry building systems, to create curved ceilings, wings, waves, arches, domes, etc.. The Curving Stud was created to satisfy the most sophisticated and creative requirements of planners, designers and direct operators. It is the result of precise design and accurate realization and after years of studies and tests, our product has been patented Its structure enables, with extreme facility, the production of any type of false ceiling, such as curved ceilings, wings, waves, arches, etc The procedure is the same as for any flat ceiling, where a double metal framework is used It perfectly maintains its curvature without using any kind of additional stiffening material Thanks to its continuous sheeting, where the plasterboard has to be fixed, screws always find a secure fixing point The stability and rigidity allow the installation to be carried out by just one person

pag. 5 MATERIAL Zinc coated steel with a thickness of 0,6mm, produced in accordance with the CEE standard: DX51D Z140 CERTIFICATE In accordance with standards UNI EN 13964/2007 UNI EN 10346/2009 UE 305/2011 SIZES Fixed length of the studs: 3000 mm, with maximum tolerance of +2% The only size is: 60x27mm WEIGHT Concave & Convex 60X27: 0,60 Kg/linear meter STORAGE Weather protection required; as a stacked product, use adequate transport/lifting systems to avoid breaking/sliding/falling, particularly during the stacking phase. PACKAGING Each cluster contains 8 studs. Each pallet contains 24 clusters, i.e. 192 studs, equal to at least 576 linear meters PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT Handle only with gloves that meet the 89/686/CEE - 2011/C 329/01 standards.

pag. 6 WEAVY CEILING For the realization of a waving ceiling, with dimensions of 3 X 3,50 m, proceed as follows: trace the perimeter of the required measurement along the existing perimetrical walls fix the Curving Profiles (CP 30mm) along the traced perimeter on the 2 ceiling support walls, bend the wing of the profile (CP 30mm) by hand with the required inclination to obtain the wave bending radius (in this way the plasterboard will find a safe support between the wall and profile) mark the positions of hangers in the direction of the primary structure, with a distance of 100 cm (length) x 80 cm (width)

pag. 7 install the primary standard metal structure C49X27 (or C60x27) at a distance of 40 cm (or 50 cm, as for a normal ceiling) bend the Concave and Convex Curving Studs 60x27, following the outline of the CP30 already placed on the existing perimeter connect the Curving Studs 60x27 with a linear joint 60x27 to obtain the curvature with the desired radius connect the Concave & Convex Curving Stud to the primary metal frame with perpendicular hooks at a distance of 30 cm (or 40 cm, depending on the radius of the curvature) the number of hangers and their positioning on the ceiling will be according to the size of the room and the additional loads

pag. 8 Weavy Ceiling installation diagram: distance between the main profiles and hanging directions.

pag. 9 the result will be the following: proceed with the plasterboard laying (thickness 6mm/10mm), that will find a continuous structure for optimum shaping.

pag. 10 CROSS VAULT For the realization of a Cross Vault, with dimensions of 3 X 3,50 m, proceed as follows: trace the perimeter of the desired vault along the existing perimetrical walls (as for the Barrel Vault) fix the plasterboard sheets, starting from each corner, to obtain the centre and the height of the arcades trace the desired arc (arch tracing) onto the plasterboard sheet and cut away any excess fix the CP30 (or CP 50mm) on both the sides of each sheet insert standard studs C49X27 (or C60X27) in CP30, with variable distances according to the curving radius track and fix the hangers to the centre of the upper arches with a distance of 80cm from the perimeter walls

pag. 11 Cross Vault installation diagram: distance between the main profiles and hanging directions.

pag. 12 proceed with the plasterboard laying (thickness 6mm/10 mm), that will find a continuous structure for optimum shaping. N.B. If the structure is larger than 3m x 3m, install a Concave Stud 60x27, which follows the shape of the outer arch and position in the centre of each portion before inserting the standard studs. The Curving Stud 60x27 will then hang from the ceiling with appropriate "spring hooks" ( snap-hook for ceiling), so as to support the weight of the structure.

pag. 13 BARREL VAULT For the realization of a Barrel Vault, with dimensions of 3 x 3,50 m, proceed as follows: trace the perimeter of the desired vault along the existing perimetrical walls fix the Curving Profiles (CP 30mm) along the traced perimeter by hand, bend the wing of the profile to the desired inclination on the two linear sides build the arcade with a double metal framework: for the primary structure use C49X27 (or C60x27), and use the Concave Curving Stud 60X27 and perpendicular hooks (as for a simple ceiling) for the secondary structure the primary structure will distance 40 cm (or 50 cm), while the secondary 30cm (or 40cm, depends on the radius of curvature) fix the structure with straight hooks, double hangers with double spring The spacing must be of 100x80 cm, so as to ensure stability of the inclined primary studs. The primary structure will distance 40 cm (or 50 cm), while the secondary 30cm (or 40cm, depends on the radius of curvature)

pag. 14 Barrel Vault installation diagram: distance between the main profiles and hanging directions.

pag. 15 proceed with the plasterboard laying (thickness 6mm/10mm), that will find a continuous structure for optimum shaping.

pag. 16 DOME For the realization of a Dome with dimensions of Ø200 cm, on a ceiling of 3 x 3,50m, proceed as follows: install a flat false ceiling at the desired height (this will act as compensation of the perimeter of the dome vault) the primary structure will be distanced at 80 cm, while the secondary structure will be at 50 cm fix the structure with hangers, at a distance of 100 cm (length) x 80 cm (width) create the desired circumference from the existing false ceiling (hole at the base of the dome) fix the CP30 along the whole perimeter of the hole determine the desired height that will have the dome in the upper center obtain a circle (in wood or plasterboard) with a lower diameter than that previously traced (about 30 cm) and fix it to the ceiling (with a spring hook) at the desired height by hand bend the Concave 60x27 Stud fix one end of the Concave Stud along GD30 (at the base of the dome) and the other end on the little circle hung up at the ceiling the distance between the Concave Studs will be determined by the radius of the dome (variable distance) proceed with the plasterboard laying (thickness 6mm /10 mm), that will find a continuous structure for optimum shaping.

pag. 17 Dome installation diagram: distance between the main profiles and hanging directions.

pag. 18 N.B.: If the dome is very big, it is necessary to place some more Concave Studs across to those already in place (double metallic beam), and fix them to each other with perpendicular hooks.
