ALWAYS use restraint strap when changing child. NEVER leave child unattended in the Bassinet/Carrier in the rocking mode with wheels retracted. If a sheet is used with the pad, use only the one provided with this Bassinet by The First Years or one specifically designed to fit the dimension of the Bassinet mattress. A. Open Infant Carrier/Bassinet Your infant Carrier/Bassinet comes completely assembled. To open, unfold infant Carrier/Bassinet by pulling up on release tabs simultaneously on both sides. Turn Bassinet around and repeat for other side. Set aside. PRODUCT ASSEMBLY B. Attach Stand with Storage Basket 1. Slide straight support tubes through fabric pockets on storage basket. 1 2. Insert cross tubes into rocker legs as shown. Make sure pins pop securely into place. 2 3. Attach sides of storage basket around each leg with self fasteners. 3 4. Stand upright. 5. Slide 4 storage basket buckles over U tubes. 5 6 6. With the height adjustment holes on both U tubes facing inward, depress pin and slide U tube into the first (1st) hole on each side. Repeat with second U tube. Make sure pins securely pop into place. Check to make sure storage basket is taut on U tubes. If necessary, adjust buckles. 5

PRODUCT ASSEMBLY (con t) C. Assemble Changing Table 1. Place changing table fabric upside down. A 2. Slide loops (labeled A) on each side over 1 fabric support tube. 3. Insert 2nd fabric support tube into open end of the fabric support tube that you just attached to the changing table. 4. Connect both fabric support tubes together. D. Attach Changing Table to Stand 1. Turn changing table assembly right side up and place on top of stand. Fold over the ruffled skirt so that screw holes are visible. 2. Position loops making sure they are between screw holes. 3. Insert plastic nut into screw holes by pushing up through bottom. 4. Holding plastic nut in place, use 1 long screw into top hole and tighten with Philips screwdriver. Do not tighten all the way until all 4 screws and plastic nuts are in place. Once they are all in place, tighten all screws. Foam Pad- Do not remove 5. Squeeze rod supports into place as shown. Make sure that they are firmly inserted into holes in stand. 6. Snap brackets over fabric supports. Align holes and push short screw into place. Secure nut using pliers. 7. Wrap 5 self-fasteners around fabric support tubes and foam pads as shown, doing center one last. Repeat for other side. 8. Pull fabric over and straighten ruffle as desired. 1 2 5 3 4 6

WARNING ALWAYS use restraint strap when changing child. E. Secure Infant Carrier/Bassinet PRODUCT ASSEMBLY (con t) 1. Place Infant Carrier/Bassinet on top of changing table. Make sure Infant Carrier/Bassinet rests completely inside changing table frame prior to placing your baby inside. TO INSTALL BATTERIES 1. Locate battery door on back of handle. 2. Using a Phillips screwdriver, turn screw counterclockwise until it s loose and remove door. 3. Remove battery compartment from handle. 4. Insert 4 AA batteries. Position them so the + and contacts are aligned with the corresponding contacts on the battery clip. 5. Replace battery compartment in handle. + - + - 6. Replace battery door making sure tab on door fits under battery compartment before re-attaching. 7. Turn screw clockwise to secure battery door. WARNING: Keep all batteries away from children. DO NOT use rechargeable batteries. DO NOT dispose of batteries in fire; they may explode. DO NOT attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries. Replace batteries under adult supervision. To avoid battery leakage: Be sure to position batteries with + and symbols as indicated in battery compartment. Batteries must be inserted with the correct polarity. Never mix old and new batteries, rechargeable (nickel cadmium) and nonrechargeable batteries, or standard (carbon zinc) with alkaline batteries. Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used. Always remove exhausted batteries from the product. Never use a screwdriver or any other tool to pry batteries from compartment, as doing so may short circuit supply terminals. The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited. 7 - + - +

A. Bassinet PRODUCT USAGE You can rock your bassinet back and forth OR lock it into place. 1. Rocking mode: Depress retractor button and push wheels up. Repeat on all 4 wheels. 2. Locking mode: Depress retractor button and rotate wheels out. Flip wheel brakes and castor brakes down to secure wheels in place. B. Bedside Sleeper Height Adjustment NOTE: Your sleep system is designed to adjust to the level of your bed for easy access to your baby. 1. Adjust to desired height by depressing pins on U tubes. 2. Slide U tubes into desired hole. Pins should pop into place to secure. IMPORTANT: Make sure U tubes are in the same holes on each side. Attach to Adult Bed 1. Slip bedside attachment between mattress and box spring. Edge of attachment should be approximately 6 inches from edge of bed. 2. Place sleep system next to bed. 3. Wrap straps around legs and fasten to secure. 4. Lock wheels into place as shown on page 7. 8

PRODUCT USAGE (con t) C. Portable Bassinet & Play seat 1. To raise canopy, lift up and secure canopy fasteners. 2. To raise/lower handle, press both handle release tabs. Backrest adjustment: To raise/lower backrest, lift up as shown. Be sure to snap firmly in place. IMPORTANT: When placing child in Portable Bassinet & Play Seat, you must use the crotch restraint to secure child. Make sure both buckles are snapped into place. Pull straps to ensure a tight fit. D. Changing Table 1. Storage pockets hold baby products near for convenience and peace of mind. IMPORTANT: When placing child, you must use restraint on changing table strap located on surface of changing table. Make sure buckle is snapped into place. Pull strap to assure a tight fit. Storage 1. Pull up on release tabs to collapse each side. 9

Press and release the select button until desired selection plays: a. Fur Elise b. bird chirp c. rain d. heart beat e. bubbling brook 2. Adjust the volume according to your preference. 3. To change audio selections, press the select button. If you change selections, the audio will shut-off 10 minutes after the FIRST selection was chosen. Nightlight: Press once to turn on. Nightlight will automatically shut-off after 10 minutes. To turn off manually, press button again. Vibrations: Press once to turn on. Adjust to desired speed (slower/faster). Vibrations will automatically shut-off after 10 minutes. To turn off manually, press 10

CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS To Clean: All fabric and mattress: Surface wash only using warm soapy water. Allow to air dry. Do not machine wash. Sheet: 1. Remove sheet from mattress. 2. Turn inside out. 3. Place in pillowcase or laundry bag. Machine wash, warm. Tumble dry, low. Toys: 1. Remove toys. 2. Place in pillowcase or laundry bag. Machine wash, warm. Tumble dry, low. Electronics: Wipe surface with a slightly dampened cloth or sponge using mild liquid soap. Wipe with clear water. Air dry. Do not immerse in water. Remove battery compartment prior to cleaning.
