Adolf Hitler The man that did the unthinkable

Hitler s Childhood Born on April 20 th 1889 His hometown is the Austrian town of Braunau His Mother was a housemaid while his father was an Austrian Custom official He had five other siblings. Some which died in their early years. His Father was very abusive to him and his siblings After his oldest brother left home he became the victim of his father s wrath. Hitler s Baby Picture Hitler Mother and Father (Klara and Alois)

Hitler's Education Hitler did attend public school. He was known as a mediocre student He ended up dropping out of High School He wanted to pursue being an Artist. After he dropped out of High school he went to Vienna to become an Artist When he went to Vienna he applied at a prestigious art school, but he got rejected He went through a lot of problems while he was in Vienna, but he soon joined the army when WWI broke out. One of Hitler's paintings Hitler as a child posing with his class

Hitler s Impact on European History One of Hitler s biggest Impact on European history is WWII This one man triggered a Huge World War He easily conquered over Czechoslovakia, Poland, and Austria. He also invaded Denmark and Norway. He got France to surrender to him He also conquered over some parts of Russia He was extremely successful in the beginning.

Why was he so successful? Propaganda Joseph Goebbel was in charge of the media for Hitler. He used Propaganda to convince the people of Germany to follow Hitler. Thousands of people followed Hitler without even questioning whether he was good or not. Hitler talent at speaking Thousands of people would gather just to hear Hitler speak. In his speeches he used a lot of emotion and he got peopled excited. The audience was always pleased when he did his speeches so they listened to him. They practically praised him. Appeasement Neville Chamberlain use the tactic of appeasement. Instead of stopping Hitler and using force on him, he let Hitler get away. Every time Hitler got away with something his confidence boost, and he all of a sudden wants more.

THE HOLOCAUST Hitler always had a strong hatred for Jews. Throughout his whole time as a dictator he always commented on how he wanted them to perish. Not a lot of people believed him, and thought he was just saying that as a figure of speech. Hitler accomplished a lot, but the thing Hitler wanted the most to be done was the extermination of Jews

THE HOLOCAUST 6 Million Jews out of the 9 Million Jews in Europe was killed in the Holocaust Jews were not the only set of people that was killed Up to 2 Million Poles (polish) people were killed About 250,000 disabled people were killed 15,000 Homosexual people were killed Plenty of others were also killed in the Holocaust. The TOTAL death toll of the holocaust is about 11-17 Million people

Hitler s Downfall At some point Hitler s reign had to come to an end The downturn of Hitler reign started when he moved in and attacked on Russia, breaking their non-aggression pact Hitler raging war on us by letting Japan bomb pearl harbor was not a good move. Hitler s determination also brought him down He never wanted to give up and pull out of a situation. Instead he wanted to fight it out even if it means thousands of troops dead Hitler was getting assassination attempts. His health was starting to fail The aftermath of a failed Hitler assassination attempt Pearl harbor attack

Hitler s Death As WWII started to come to an end, there was no hope for Germany. The allies started bombing and invading Germany. There was no possible hope of Germany being Victorious But Hitler did not leave Germany as the Allies started to move in. He created a bunker underneath his house in preparations of bomb attacks Hitler called on his closest friends/ officials to come stay in the bunker with him. He got married to his lover Eva Braun in his last days. Hitler and Eva both killed themselves before the Russians got to them. Eva took Cyanide while Hitler shot himself in the head. Hitler s death is often spoofed by many shows, like Family Guy Hitler is known for always saying that he would rather take his life himself than to give up and let the enemy do it for him.

My Thoughts Hitler was a very complex person. Even though I have read his biography, there are still some things that I don t fully understand about Hitler. There are a lot of questions that I want to ask, but I know that I wont get an answer to them. As I read his biography, Hitler actually started down a good path at first in his political career. He got thousands of people to follow him willingly. He also changed Germany for the better. He actually got people jobs, and boost the economy. People were really happy at what Hitler was doing in the beginning. At one point everything changed, and Hitler went down a dark path. He used his power and intelligence for bad reasons. It makes you think, what would ve came of Germany if he used his brain for good? Would Germany be one of the top countries now? Would Hitler s fate be different? One thing for sure though is that millions of Jews would still be living to this day. Millions of people who fought in the war would still be living to this day. Hundreds of people who died in pearl harbor would still be living to this day.
