World Heart Day Organizing Committee: Nepal Heart Net It is a Non Profit Organization. It is a Pure Volunteer organization. It is an Umbrella Organization of Heart Related NGOs. Established in 2005 with the active - Co-ordination ordination and Co-operation operation of NEHF. Need to together Promote the Cause of the Heart Patients and Heart Diseases in Nepal. Identifying possible Complementary activities among the Heart Related NGOs. NHF will play only Co-ordinating ordinating role by exchange of information, establishing Communication System and Creating platform for discussion to Campaign for the Prevention Heart Diseases and Providing Facilities to the Heart Patients.

Press Meet Program for World Heart Day, 2008. World Heart Day Message was released among Journalists. Organizing Committee had clarified the Importance of World Heart Day to Journalists. They are aware about World Heart Day, 2008. News of World Heart Day was covered by almost all newspaper (Gorkha Patra, Annapurna Post, Nepal Samachar Patra, Kathmandu post, Rising Nepal, Naya Patrika, Kantipur) and Electronic Media i.e. T.V and FM Radio.

Health campaign and School Health education Program Lalitpur Branch organized a half day Health camp in Lalitpur District, Luvu. It is a Free Health Camp. More than 300 People got free check up including heart screening. Kathmandu Branch organized school health education program in the Sain Xaviers School, Pulchok, Kathmandu. Dr. Prakash Raj Regmi gave Lecture and also presented about How to save our Heart and the Risk Factor of Heart Diseases. More than 600 Students participated in this Program.

It was an excellent Program for student, told by class 6 student. It was school health Program about how to save our Heart in the school going age.

Rally Program Chief Guest was Home and Deputy Prime Minister Hon. Bamdev Gautam. More than 7000 people participated in the Rally (Students, Teacher, Doctors, Civil Servant, Engineers, Businessmen, Lawyers, Journalist, etc). Main objectives of Rally was to Create a Public awareness about How to save our Heart. Distributed a leaflets, Poster, pamphlets, Cap, Brusher and also vest, T-shirt T to the Participants.

Main attraction of Rally was elephant walking in front of the Rally with a banner of WHD over the huge body of elephant. Other attraction was that the students attending the Rally wore their own School uniforms. It was a just like a wedding procession due to the sound of the beautiful music instrument.

Half Day Symposium of World Heart Day, 2008 It took place at Hotel Annapurna (Kumari Hall) Durbar Marg on September 28, 2008 at 2:00 pm. It was Organized by Nepal Heart Net. Co-ordinated ordinated by Nepal Heart Foundation, Bal Dhadkan Nepal and Cardiac Society of Nepal. More than 100 Participants took part in the Program. Presented a status paper on cardiac care in Nepal by Dr. Bhagwan Koirala. Handing over of Coordinatorship of Heart Net to Cardiac Society of Nepal. Interaction Program with audience

Following experts Participated with audience in the interaction Program: Dr. A.B Upadhyaya, Dr. Prakash Raj Regmi, Dr.Y.K.D Bhatt and Dr. D.Sharma. Award distribution to the Renowned Cardiologist Dr. Abani Bhushan Upadhyaya and Dr. Bhagwan Koirala by chief guest, Dr. Dirgha Sing Bom, Secretary of MoHP. Award distribution to Electronic Journalist of Nepal Television by chief guest Dr. Dirgha Sing Bom, Secretary of MoHP. Narayan Shrestha Arati Chataut

Radio, FM and T.V. Talk Program Various Doctors and Cardiologists were interviewed by the FM, Radio and TV channel. Dr. Prakash Raj Regmi and Dr. A.B Upadhyaya talked about World Heart Day, 2008. Dr. A.B Upadhyaya was interviewed by Image Channel in the Program of Hello Doctors. All electric and print Media had covered the World Heart Day News in the Different time. They play a vital role to eliminate the Heart Diseases and also Create Public Awareness even today. Seven T.V Channels covered the News of WHD. Painting Program on the auspicious occasion World Heat Day, 2008. In the Subject of Quite Smoking i.e. avoid smoking. More than 20 School students participated in the Competition. It is also a kind of awareness to student about the Risk Factor of Heart Diseases. A well known painter and renowned Cardiologist were the jury member of Painting Competition. Cash Prize and Letter of appreciation Certificate were distributed to the winner of Painting Competition by Special guest, secretary of MoHP.

Those Factors may cause the following diseases. Heart Attack Stroke Kidney Failure Blindness May Result into: Death Inactive Life Style

Distributed different kind of Pamphlet, Posters and also Published Bulletin on the occasion of WHD on behalf of NHF. They were 1. Pumplet 2. WHD Bulletin 3. Poster

Miscellaneous program Nepal Heart foundation (NHF) Branches had also organized different activities in the auspicious occasion of WHD in different regions of Nepal. NHF Lalitpur Branch had organized interaction Program between Cardiologists and general Public during the World Heart Day Occasion. In this Program, Dr. Sajan Baidhya Presented the Paper about the Risk Factor of Heart Disease.

Heart to Heart Nepal, the Member of Nepal Heart Net had also organized the Free heart checkup camp in the remote area of Nepal, Syangza. Other Organizations and Hospitals who are non Member of NHN. They also Organized different program on the occasion of WHD free Heart Screenings, Walks, Public talks, Blood Donation Camp and exhibition.
