AGREEMENT 1. I have read, understand and accept the conditions set forth for accepting a sabbatical leave. I have attached a completed sabbatical leave proposal form. 2. I understand that if I am awarded a one-year or one-year split-semester sabbatical, that I shall receive sixty percent (60%) of my full salary for such period(s). In particular, if I am awarded a split-semester sabbatical, my salary for the academic year will not be averaged, but will switch from 100% of my full salary on the non-sabbatical semester to 60% of my full salary for the sabbatical semester. 3. If I have indicated a preference for a two non-consecutive semester (split) sabbatical, but have not indicated second semester preference, I understand that I must submit an application for the second half of my sabbatical during the Fall application period immediately following return from the first half of a split, or no later than the Fall application period an academic year in advance of the second half of the split. (Article 17.L.4.1.d) 4. I understand if a one-year sabbatical leave is granted, no switching of the beginning semester is allowed. (Article 17.L.4.1.g) 5. I understand that within 60 days of my return to duty, I must submit documentation to the Human Resources Department, in accordance with the type of sabbatical leave and AFT contract, Articles 17.L.7. 7. I understand that upon my return, I must serve at a full load upon my return from sabbatical (two years of service after a one year sabbatical; one year of service after a one semester sabbatical).
