This book investigates the issue of traffic and helps to weigh up the evidence for and against changing a high street into an area for pedestrians only. It also includes information about different ways of solving traffic problems. NON-FICTION Local traffic an environmental issue This book explores issues involved in building new roads. It shows how data can be collected and how to canvass opinion and then come to a considered decision in a demoncratic way. BIG + The Trouble with Traffic Reading and writing for information KS2. Big book with 6 different information texts that deals with different traffic problems. Teacher s book provides lesson plans for imaginative activities connected to the texts. BIG Four in a Row. Big book following the lives of four children whose lives are affected by road safety issues. Very useful for Literacy teaching as the book presents the stories in different formats: television transcript, magazine article, radio playscript, newspaper report, picture story and leaflet.
