INTRODUCTION

HM Manager Overview Applies to the spatial version of Netbase Provides the complete modelling solution: Fully integrated with EPAnet & Piccolo Integrates Netbase with Water Distribution Modelling Software Provides a complementary modelling solution to: WaterGEMS Infoworks Aquis SynerGEE Streamlines & automates the data transfer processes between Netbase and models

HMManager Data Model Network Assets & Attributes Topological Hierarchical network model Profiles Library Scenario Controls Database Centrally Managed Support for multiple users (on the same model)

User Interface Ribbon Toolbar The Model Register

Main Interface and Tools Register Window Data Maintenance Model Definition Monitored Data & Demand Operational Controls Simulation Analysis HM Manager features The tools in the software are organised into toolbars of 8 main categories. This allows easy access to the user of the tools depending on the stage of the model build or calibration process. Some built in wizards also exist in the software to provide guidance to users.

Model Register Model Register Models are organised into Projects Project Filter Search

Missing Attributes Netbase has two types of attributes Imported Copied from source data Validated Validated version of the imported valves that is not overwritten by updates Referencing Support for multiple references

Validation Types of validation Infill Based on surrounding pipes Lookup Internal Diameter and Roughness based on client and manufactures data

Internal Diameter

Set the Internal Diameter External Diameter Wall Thickness Based on External Diameter Size Class Year Laid Internal Diameter

Roughness/K Set The Default Roughness Based On Material Year Laid

Reporting Changes to GIS Feedback changes to GIS Export ESRI shape and MapInfo mid/mif files

Monitoring Points Monitoring points are linked to SCADA If the point exists in Netbase no set-up is required Not all monitoring points break pipes or are at junctions If you break the pipe it causes a problem when updating the model Surrogate Monitoring Points Find the nearest connected node so the pipe is not broken

Monitored Data and Demand PROFILE SCENARIO

Profile Scenario The profiles scenario configures the profile shapes and volumes that will be exported to the hydraulic modelling software. The profile shapes come from the profiles library and the volumes come from the selected base demand set. The configuration of the profile shapes and volumes can match those that were generated in the analysis group Or The user can select a generic set of base demands and profile shapes.
