The garden was at Omama Murrumbeena 1898-1909, - later called Joyous Gard by Dr John Springthorpe,. Margaret is now considered a pioneer of Australian garden design. Presented two communion cups to Mauchline church in 1888. Neither had children. Their father Richard increased the age at which they could inherit from his will. They were 21 when he died. Family legend says they fought. Their niece Cassie said one had all white animals and the other all black ones on their properties.
