DR. FIXIT BATHSEAL ONE STOP SOLUTION FOR LEAK-FREE BATHROOMS Dr. Fixit Bathseal System Dr. Fixit Bathseal is India s first & most comprehensive one stop bathroom waterproofing solution that fixes all leakage prone areas in a bathroom and provides relief for years to come. It is an internationally proven system for bathroom waterproofing and meets the International Wet Area Waterproofing Standards. The products in the Dr. Fixit Bathseal range work together to create a watertight envelope in the bathroom and make it completely leak-free for years unlike conventional methods. How Bathseal system creates a leak-free bathroom Key sources of leakage in a bathroom Gaps around pipe inserts Gaps around nahani traps Waterproofing of sunken portion Gaps around sanitary wares Wall Slab Junction Splash zone (Shower area) # Conventional methods of treatment The gaps around the pipe inserts through the masonry walls and concrete floor are filled with ordinary cement which has poor bonding with the pipe materials (PVC). Cement has natural tendency to shrink upon drying leading to development of cracks around the pipes and hence seepage of water. Conventionally, cement is filled in the gaps around the Nahani traps and pipe inserts in wall & floor. This develops cracks & water seepage over a period of time. Moreover cement has a tendency to shrink on drying. Conventionally, brickbat coba is done with or without a coating of latex. The brickbat coba/latex coating is not very flexible & can crack over a period of time allowing water to seep through. Gaps around sanitary wares are usually filled with white cement, which shrinks & cracks over time. With usage, white cement also attracts stains and has a poor surface finish. Seperation joints in the wall & slab junction can lead to water seepage. Usually no waterproofing treatment is done on the walls of the splash zone of the bathroom (shower area). Water can seep through the walls through the tile joints & lead to dampness on the walls adjoining the bathroom. Bathseal System A unique first of its kind double sided adhesive, bituminous Dr. Fixit Bathseal Tape is used to wrap around pipes. The gaps are then filled using non-shrink, cementitious Dr. Fixit Bathseal Grout. Filling the gaps with self levelling, non-shrink, cementitious Dr. Fixit Bathseal Grout reduces the risk of cracking and seepage. Sunken portion slab is treated with two coats of polymer modified, cementitious, elastomeric waterproof coating, Dr. Fixit Bathseal WPC. The coating is 1 mm thick, has high elongation and impermeable to ingress of water Use Dr. Fixit Bathseal Sealant - An Acrylic Sealant for sealing gaps between sanitary fittings and tiles like wash basin, commode and bath tub. Angle fillet is prepared with Dr. Fixit Pidicrete URP Latex. The wall & slab junction is reinforced with a woven glass fibre mesh between the first & second coats of Dr. Fixit Bathseal WPC coating. The walls of the splash zone is to be treated with two coats of polymer modified, cementitious, elastomeric waterproof coating, Dr. Fixit Bathseal WPC up to height of 1800 mm. In addition to the above product range, the kit contains Open woven glass fibre mesh to sandwich between the first & second coat of Dr. Fixit Bathseal WPC. Hand-gloves for safe handling of chemicals Application instruction booklet to carry out the waterproofing job scientifically # Extra quantity of 3 kg Dr. Fixit Bathseal WPC is available for sale for an additional application in the shower splash zone. 5
