Office 365 Navigation Pane: Navigating in Office 365 Click the App Launcher and then choose the application (i.e. Outlook, Calendar, People, etc.). To modify your personal account settings, click the Logon to Outlook Web App 1. Open a web browser and navigate to: https://login.microsoftonline.com 2. Login with your UA email address and password. Mail: New Message Search Box Reply Options Folder List Reading Pane Message List New Search box Folder List Message List Reading Pane Reply Options Create a new message by clicking +New Search for the person you want to find messages from, or text that you want to search for. Includes the folders in your mailbox. Click Show to expand a list, or click Hide to collapse a list. Messages in the current folder are listed. Unread messages are identified by a blue bar to the left of the message. The message you selected is displayed. Use the links at the top of the page to Reply, Reply All or Forward the message. Use the options to Reply, Reply All or Forward a message Page 2

Compose a Message Reply to or Forward a Message 1. Select +New. 2. Begin typing the recipient s email or name in the To: or CC: field. Outlook displays suggestions from the UA directory and your Contacts, as well as previously typed email addresses. 3. Complete the recipient s name or select from the list. 4. Enter a subject. 5. Type your message in the message body. 1. While viewing a message, click the Reply, Reply All or Forward button at the top of the message. 6. To include an attachment: Click Insert > Attachments or OneDrive files and then browse to the file. Click Send as Attachment. 7. Click the extended menu for more options (i.e. include Bcc line or switch to plain text). Delete a Message 8. When finished, click There are a number of ways to delete a message: Click the message to select it and press the Delete key on the keyboard. Right click the message and choose Delete from the list. Read a Message Change Folder 2. Click on a message to select it. 3. The message appears in the reading pane. 4. Copy Images and URL s into OWA Email Body (using IE9) Create a New Folder The following settings must be configured in Internet Explorer 9 in order to successfully copy images and URL s into the body of an email: 1. Select Internet Options. 2. Click the Security tab. 3. Select Internet zone, if not already selected. 4. Click the Custom Level button. 5. Scroll down to the Scripting heading 6. Under the Scripting heading, look for Allow Programmatic clipboard access and click on Enable. 7. Click OK 8. Click Yes on the warning box. 1. Right-click the parent folder you want to create the new folder in. To create a folder that's not a subfolder, right-click (or tap and hold) your name above your Inbox folder 2. Select Create new folder. Print a Message 1. Select the message you wish to print. 2. In the reading pane, click the extended menu and select Print. 3. The message opens in a new window, and a print menu will open on top of the message. Select the printer and any options, then select Print. 3. Type a name for the folder. 4. Press ENTER. Note: You may need to refresh your browser to view a folder that you just created in the folder list. Page 4

Mail Settings: Click the Settings button in the upper right corner: Display Settings 1. Click Settings and choose Display Settings. 2. Choose your displays preferences for message list, conversations and reading pane. 3. Click OK. Message Format Create a Signature 1. Click Settings and choose Options. 2. Under Layout (on the left side) select Email signature. 3. Enter your signature information and set any formatting options, as needed. 4. If desired, select the checkbox titled Automatically include my signature on messages I send. 5. Click Save. 1. Click Settings and choose Options. 2. Under Layout (on the left) select Message format. 3. You can check boxes for Always show Bcc and Always show From. 4. You can choose to create plain text or HTML messages by default. 5. Choose your default message font. 6. Click Save. 7. Click the button to return to OWA. Out of Office Messages 1. Click Settings and choose Automatic Replies. 2.
