Popularisation of science I am a member of the Finnish Association of Science Editors and Journalists. I have worked as a journalist almost ever since I started studying medicine. I was a journalist and associate editor for the journal published by the students in the medical faculty of University of Turku. In 1997 I became a member of the editorial board of the Specialist (Erikoislääkäri), in 2003 associate- editor and 2007 the editor. This work comprises writing specialist news regarding psychiatry for Finnish physicians as well as all the work it takes to draft an issue with 48-54 pages six times a year. I have been invited to give public lectures on several occasions. 8
