Where this is the case, it will be indicated. If no 8

ACCESSORY MANUAL INSTALLATION specific model is referred to, the description applies to all models. n Note: Make sure you perform all installation operations that are required for your unit. Check the type plate and refer to Section.. if you are not sure about the model or type of your unit. n Note: Protect the unit from damage and penetration of dust, cement, etc., throughout the installation. You could, for instance, use the packaging for this purpose..4 Mounting the unit.4. Positioning the unit Make sure that the structure from which the unit is to be suspended can hold the weight of the unit. The weight is specified on the type plate (see Section..). n Note: The direction of the air flow is indicated by arrows on the ventilation section. c Caution: Provide for an inspection hatch in the ceiling if the ventilation section is not fitted in a suspended ceiling. Only for CC VR-CC: Position the unit between the ceiling profiles. The ceiling tiles should not rest on the cover. Instead, use the T-beams of the suspended ceiling or use the optional edge sections (see Section.9)..4. Suspending and securing the unit. Mount Flamco rails and fix M8 threaded rods according to the dimensions in Table -. Make sure the threaded rods are perpendicular.. Mount the suspension profiles to the threaded rods. Version:. (0-09-007) 9

INSTALLATION VENTILATION SECTION. Hook the unit into the suspension profiles. 4. You can still change the position of the unit somewhat by moving it in the suspension profiles and Flamco rails. 5. Secure the suspension on both sides using the securing brackets 4. 6. CC VR-CC only: Bring the underside of the unit in line with the T-beams of the ceiling. 4 w Warning: The unit may come down if you do not secure the suspension. ACCESSORY MANUAL INSTALLATION. Fix the duct sections as you please, e.g., by bricking them in or by fixing them with screws. If using screws, mind their positions: the screws must not hinder the installation of the external grate. n Note: Seal any gaps between sleeve and wall in a draught- and leakage-free manner. 4. Drill the (ø 5mm) grille fixing holes into the flanges of the sleeve section that is fixed to the outer wall. 5. Apply paste onto the inner side of the grille flanges. The paste is to seal off the gap between grille and sleeve in a draught- and leakage-free manner. 6. Fix the grille to the flanges using sheet metal screws. n Note: Place the grille with correctly positioned blades, that is, oriented outward to allow for run-off..6 Installing the roof duct B Tar mastic Timber 70x70 7. Mount the plenum to the wall sleeve. The roof duct is made up of two parts: a roof curb and a roof cap. The roof cap consists of a cover and a sleeve. On delivery, these are attached to one another. ACCESSORY MANUAL INSTALLATION.9 Mounting edge sections (CC VR-CC accessory) If the unit is integrated into a suspended ceiling, the ceiling tiles should not rest on the cover. For correct installation, you may want to use the optional edge sections.. Mount the edge sections to the unit using the enclosed screws.. Position the ceiling tiles upon the edge sections..0 Mounting the cover (CC VR-CC). Remove the air inlet grille by turning it anticlockwise (bayonet catch).. Fit the supplied screws and anti-loss washers into the cover.. Mount the cover into the unit: - Hook the cover into the unit using the metal lips 5; - Tighten the screws in the indicated order. 5 4. Replace the air inlet grille. 4. Switching on and checking operation. Check the connection of the ventilation section s servomotor in the Comfort Circle s electronics module.. Switch on the mains power and/or plug in all connected units.. Switch on the Comfort Circle using the controller. 4. Check the working of the servomotor of the air valve (see Section 4.) Version:. (0-09-007)

MAINTENANCE VENTILATION SECTION.. Maintenance. Cleaning the unit You can clean the exterior of the unit with a slightly damp cloth and a domestic cleaner. Do not use any solvents.. Replacing the filter w Warning: Make sure no water runs into the unit. d Danger: This may be carried out by qualified staff only... Introduction The filter must be replaced regularly. A dirty filter may lead to inadequate heating as well as a high noise level. The interval at which the filter is to be replaced depends on the local conditions. You may also clean the filter material of the flatbed filter (CC VS) with, for instance, a vacuum cleaner. After some cleanings, however, the filter must be replaced... Monitoring the filter service life The Comfort Circle controller monitors the service life of the filter. In the installer menu (see Section.. of the Comfort Circle manual), you can set the maximum life (the service life on expiry of which the filter is considered dirty)... Replacing the filter (CC VR-CC) 4 4. Switch off the Comfort Circle.. Remove the air inlet grille from the Ventilation Section by turning it anticlockwise (bayonet catch).. Loosen the screws of the cover in the indicated order. Remove the cover. If anti-loss washers were mounted upon installation, the screws stay in the cover. 4. Remove the mounting beam. 4

ACCESSORY MANUAL MAINTENANCE 5 4 5. Remove the inspection panel 4 by sliding it sideways, in front of the recirculation air intake. 6. Gently pull the filter 5 out of the unit. If you handle the filter too roughly, dust may fall out. 7. Replace the filter with a similar filter. 8. Put back the inspection panel, mounting beam, cover and grille. 9. FAULTS VENTILATION SECTION 4.. Faults 4. Testing the working of the valve You can check the working of the valve via function 5 in the service menu of the Comfort Circle (see Comfort Circle manual, section 8):. Switch on the Comfort Circle.. Compare the average air inlet temperature of the ventilation units (function 5 in the service menu) with the outdoor and indoor temperatures. After switching from ventilating to recirculating, always wait a few minutes before reading the value: - In the ventilation mode, the value should be similar to the outdoor temperature. - In the recirculation mode, the value should be similar to the indoor temperature.. If the readings differ from the outdoor and indoor temperatures, you must check the valve drive. 4. Checking the valve drive Check the valve drive using table 4-. Table 4- Checking the valve drive PROBLEM LIKELY CAUSE WHAT TO DO After switching from ventilating to recirculating, the valve motor does not run The valve motor runs, but the valve does not work. The function of output O is not set properly. The connection between the valve motor and the Comfort Circle is incorrect. The valve motor is not properly mounted to the valve shaft.. Check function 9.5 in the Comfort Circle s installation menu. This value must be 0 (see Comfort Circle manual, section..). Check the wiring between the Comfort Circle and the valve motor.. Check the wiring between terminal X7 and the PCB of the Comfort Circle.. Replace the valve motor.. Tighten the shaft mounting nuts on the valve motor. 6
