Objective SocioPlug aims to provide models for programming, querying and securing federation of plugs while preserving symmetry, fairness and privacy. Ð12

Federation of plugs Federations are characterized by: Autonomous participants Heterogeneity Social organization Federations are not clouds nor grids: autonomous participants Federations are not pure P2P systems: low churn and socially organized Ð13

Federation of plugs Autonomy Home servers Classical cloud services SocioPlug Collaboration Ð14

Deal with federation Programming : efficiently disorderly distributed programs on a federation of plugs Using a probabilistic approach and emergent localities Querying : plug programmers the ability to perform "community-based" queries Queries that preserve information symmetry. Privacy and Safety : (i) Securing the federation by monitoring streams on each node and (ii) Integrating a usage control Based on data publishers rather than service providers Ð15

plan to purchase a collection of 200 plug computers, in addition to the 48-Raspberry Pi cluster, owned by LINA partner. Likewise, the project does not require any subcontracting nor internal expenses. Our travel requests include the Global project meetings, which almost Funding all participants must attend, and partner-topartner visits that will occur during the project. To ensure a tight and successful collaboration, there will be frequent exchanges and visits between partner. We plan that the PhD students involved in the project make visit to all partners. Finally, our travel budget includes attendance in national and international conferences, where we will present the results of SOCIOPLUG to international research audiences.
